You really need to find a new role on this forum besides riding my nuts.

I'm not even saying I'm a FAN of Bute. But Ive always thought he was a good fighter. Ive maintained for awhile that he'd beat everyone at 168 besides Kess. But now its pretty obvious that he'd cause all types of style problems for Kessler.

But I'm not on anyones bandwagon. From 160-175 the only two guys who I'm legitimately fans of are Kessler, and Dawson.

Bute also did a better job with Sakio Bika than Calzaghe did, than Codrington did.

Yeah we had all those light-middles who wouldnt fight each other.....'lets just wait til they all win world titles and then they can unify' :dunno:

Williams was my favourite of the bunch....he had genuine power (...but no Wayne Alexander)....it's been a while but i seem to recall him, if not knocking down, then hurting Martinez in their first fight.

Williams spent ages struggling with some mystery virus.....I think that, and his advancing years, finally put paid to him. I think he could have made a lot of noise after he stopped Shannon Taylor, but he just seemed to not be able to pick it up.

Anyone hear about a British Light-Middle who DID fight for a World Title? Howard Clarke is apparently living on borrowed time 10 years after Vargas stopped him in 4 rounds in MSG, he has been diagnosed with frontal-lobe dementia, which apparently gives him a life expectancy of around 3-18 years. Sad.

The uppercut Bute threw was so quick that originally I thought it had hit Miranda in the body. Wasnt til the replay that I saw it landed on the jaw. Beautiful shot.

Bute v Ward, who wins?.. That'll probably happen down the line,.. I fancy Ward the type of fighter who ups his game the more threatening the opposition and will claim the tourniment title,..especially with Green as his next opponent,..:lol: ha ha haaaaa,,,,...that's a gimme,...so who wins Xplosive?..

Lewis is comic relief, just like Big George was.

RJ was a better analyst then both of them put together.

I see Haye having a similar career to Miranda,.. incessant glorification and press releases,.. within 3 years promoters will be using him as prospect fodder.

That will never happen Kauki. Haye will run back to Kibris Turkis to feast on fermented goats sperm, maintaining those impressive pecs, a corn-rowed Adonis.

I'm liking Bute at the moment. I dont have much faith in Ward's chin. But of anyone at 168 Ward has the best chance.

I think the REAL fight to be made is Bute vs Dawson... after Chad beats Pascal.

Because Bute was asked and he didn't want to know. At least that is what Froch and Hennessey said at the outset of the Super Six.

Hopkins should get the 'Calzaghe treatment' in light of Martinez's victory,...

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Hopkins legacy has just been blown to shit!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

By the way Xplosive - you're seriously overreacting to the Calzaghe story.

    He's not Amy Winehouse.

I don't know about America, but in England, especially trendy places like London and Brighton - a LOT of people do coke recreationally, just normal people with jobs, it doesn't make them coke heads.

Calzaghe obviously does a bit of coke, and got seriously unlucky with a hideous tabloid. A tabloid that does anything for a story, including altering photos.

But when I mentioned Calzaghe coming back - I would obviously be assuming that he wasn't completely shot. Of course there'd be a chance he'd come back and be a shell of his former self.

My main point really is don't get too giddy over Bute.

It was only two fights ago that most people were calling him a fraud after almost getting KO'd by Andrade.

Since then he's KO'd Andrade and a shot Miranda. Wait till he beats one of the super 6 before really singing his praises, he's still relatively unproven.

Hopkins neutralised him even more, Pavlik didn't win a round, and barely landed any punches.

However, the smaller man did put more of a beating on Pavlik, without a doubt.

Martinez is awesome actually, it's a shame it's taken him this long, age 35, to become a recognised top fighter, and legit champ etc.

I didn't say it was true. I said it was what Froch, who is in the Super Six, said. His exact words as I recall were 'Bute needs to grow some balls'.

because Bute isn't a warrior and risk taker like these other guy's,

If you can't read french, it's a quote from Larouche trainer saying taht Bute didn't repalce Taylor because they feel they will be making more money in the future if they wait more and get more known in the US before making their move.

At first it was because he had a score to settle with Andrade. Fuck Bute, he can fight the gatekeeper at 168 all he wants, and while it may fool the causual fans in montreal, it shouldn't fool any of us

    Agreed.

I think Bute is a good fighter, but people are acting like he just obliterated an elite fighter. He just KO'd a washed up Miranda FFS.

Let's wait until he beats one of the Super 6 before bigging him up that much.

My favourite was Alexander, ALL his fights were exciting, plus I saw the 2nd fight live at Crystal Palace with Ojay Abrahams, like a lower level Naz-Kelly. Awesome stuff, a fight with him and Williams would have been pretty cool, the whole Stockwell-Croydon thing would have been a nice angle. Wayne shook up Harry Simon as well pretty badly in their fight, on short notice.

And yea, in the first fight Williams looked a million dollars in the first half of that fight against Martinez, and then faded really badly at the end. Rematch was just an obliteration.

Bute was busy with Pascal before the Super 6, that was his rationale for not participating.
