Valero arrested on murder charge

WBC lightweight champion in recess Edwin Valero was arrested this morning by Carabobo State Police on suspicion of murdering his wife Yennifer Carolina. According to the CICPC (Office of Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations) Mrs. Valero died of multiple stab wounds and that Valero is the alleged perpetrator of the act. The incident occurred at a hotel in the city of Valencia. Valero, after being apprehended, was taken to the General Command of the Police of Carabobo.
The relationship between Valero and his wife was troubled and darkened by numerous scandals involving alleged physical abuse, although Mrs. Valero never denounced her husband, nor pressed charges. There were plans for Valero to go to Cuba to undergo rehab for alcohol problems. He has also been seeing a psychologist.

Edwin Valero Arrested For Murder

Edwin Valero was arrested Sunday on suspicion of murdering his wife in his home nation of Venezuela, according to eluniversal.com. The body of Jennifer Viera de Valero, 24, was found in a hotel room in Valencia early Sunday morning. Valero and his wife arrived at the hotel on Saturday night April 17th at approximately 11:00 pm. They requested a room for the night. At 5:30 am, the boxer went down to the lobby area and confessed to the crime to security personnel. The wife had reportedly had been stabbed several times. Immediately, the crime was reported to members of the Carabobo Police who showed up in that hotel. Valero was arrested moments later and transferred to the General Command of Police of Carabobo.

 

Its a shame that we didn't get to see him brutally exposed in the ring first.
