Fedor vs Brock Fedor vs JDS Fedor vs Carwin Fedor vs Mir Fedor vs Velasquez I would pick Fedor confidently to beat Mir,Brock and Valasquez JDS I'm very impressed with I think him and Carwin are actually the top two heavyweights in the UFC. So Fedor versus Carwin and JDS I'm not sure about since I haven't since enough out of those two come to a conclusion. Everybody else he beats.
I just don't know. It would be easy for me to pick guys like Lesnar and Carwin because of their shear size, but Fedor always seems to find answers. I just wonder how he would actually do against strong, 265 pound wrestlers with power. If I were forced to bet on Carwin-Fedor tomorrow, I honestly wouldn't have enough confidence one way or the other to be happy with my choice.
I think Brock takes him down and Fedor catches him in an arm bar but Carwin who I think BY far has the best stand up in the UFC heavyweight division might just catch Fedor. Fedor's stand up is very sloppy. Carwin's is extremely crisp.
Fedor has super-heavyweight punching power. He'd be a tough match for anybody, win or lose. I just think he doesn't have as much desire as he used to. Maybe because his hand is not healing. Back in 2003 or so, he was so explosive and ruthless like he wanted to murder people. Now he's more into subs since he knows his hand might break if he lands one of his sickening shots.
They all need to show me something against top opposition before I can analyze wether or not they stand a chance with Fedor.
Really? Rogers fight he won by KO Arlovski fight he won by KO and Timmy fight he basically won by KO. Fedor lately all he does is stand and trade.
I know but I think he would look for the sub instead of risking his hand. He tried to sub Brett but couldn't so he had to knock his head into orbit as a back up plan. LOL! Timmy, he put down but ended with a choke. Arlovski was following a good gameplan but Fedor took advantage.
Out of the ones i listed maybe only Cain is still unproven a bit everybody else is the goods. Especially JDS that guy is a Valero (killer)
The Heavyweight picture in MMA as a whole is brand new with unproven talent. All of the established fighters are past there prime or getting close to it
really?....i'd say that he's the biggest puncher, but there isn't a lot in the way of skill. His dirty boxing looks vicious...but Randy is famous for his dirty boxing yet no-one would classify him as a good stand-up fighter.
Carwin's punches are short and crisp and very powerful. I think he's technique is awesome by mma standards. To be fair I haven't seen enough of Carwin but from what I see I'm impressed
I agree. If Gonzaga could wobble Carwin, I don't think that Fedor would have difficulty cracking that chin.
True, but one big difference, Fedor has had over 30 fights and has never been floored. These other guys are still babies.
True but being "babies" also could have its advantages. Fresher hungrier etc. Not saying Fedor is past it but I think his best days are behind him
I agree. 34 years old with over 30 MMA fights not to mention tons of Sambo battles makes for an aged fighter. I am actually suprised he has held together so well to date.
