It's a fair point. Maybe some types of brain damage don't manifest often in everyday life, and you seem normal, but there are some fucked up neurons that happen to be the ones that are used to control yourself in some situations.

Or he could just be a complete headcase, nothing to do with the brain damage.

Kids were involved only in the sense that they lost both of their parents. If the upbringing they would receive would be the constant fighting between man and wife, and consistently be embarrassed by their father with public embriagation....

 

I didn't know they had kids. This is terrible all the way around.

And btw, I know comparisons have been made to Freitas, but I don't think Freitas would have gone on with a major cut in his forehead as the one Valero had in his last fight.

On the topic... what a weird, twisted story this has been since the Demarco fight. I'm not surprised he took the easy way out, his life as he knew it was over.

A young guy with a perfect KO record, starting to get millions to fight and on the break of stardom with a beautiful wife and 2 kids goes on and does this. Also, it may seem tasteless but how freaking stupid was his wife? Somebody beats the living hell out of you more than once, threatens to kill you and you just get out of the hospital, claim you fell down the stairs and escape with the man that tried to kill you a few days ago? She should have put her life and the lives of their kids first, this is fucking sad.

I thought when the news came out about him beating his wife that the story said she was pregnant? Was she pregnant at the time of the killing as well?

Valero was a POS but it is till a terribly tragic story. It's incredibly sad for his children.

Valero was killed, or allowed to kill himself in prison by authorities who decided he had become an embarrassment.

 

I really think this is so also. He was a national hero in Venezuela. I'm sure they turned their heads while he fastened the noose.

 

Very likely since I do think he should have been on suicide watch. And here we hear he hangs himself with his clothing. This should have been expected and yet it happened. Sounds like it was allowed to happened.

 

I'm not surprised. The fact that he straight up confessed to the murder was a telling sign that he had given up on life. Part of me is relieved, because theres one less psycho in the world, and part of me feels bad, cause he was obviously a VERY disturbed, and tormented man.

Man, I was hoping that they were younger. Both kids will remember this vividly.

 

My thoughts too. Pretty odd that he wasn't on strict suicide watch, and this was just allowed to happen.
