Why is everybody complaining that UFC fighters are underpaid ?

Anyone who runs a serious sports organization should know that type of attitude can end up killing your bussiness and lead to corruption.

I challenge anybody here to take my quote which people claim that I made up regarding Dana White saying "MMA is not on the rise, UFC is on the rise!" and go to any decent MMA forum out there and ask for confirmation regarding whether this quote is legit or not.

 

He said that at a post fight presser for everyone to see/hear. It's probably on youtube.

Just google the phrase and you'll find a lot of forums talking about it. I found this presser and it doesn't have the quote but just listen to all the shit Dana talks about PRIDE and the guys he eventually signed:laughing:

Good point. When Jon Koppenhaver was complaining about fighters' pay, Dana White's response was to toss him from the company. There's not a lot of fighters who are going to want to get tossed from the premier company, so they'll remain silent even though they feel they should be paid more.

 

That's why they should unionize. What do you think Dana's reaction would be if Brock Lesnar, Shane Carwin, and GSP marched into Dana's office and told him "Give us more money or we're leaving!" ::
The irrelevant fighters have no power. But the stars have power and can make their voices heard. Although obviously GSP and Lesnar are making a lot more money than the rest of the roster.

You do make shit up, like Forrest Griffin making 10K for a main event. He's never made only 10K for a main event. He probably hasn't made 10K a fight since he was fresh out of TUF. He made 250K in his last fight.

Has he headlined a PPV for 10K or not? IIRC, Jardine made 10K for his fight with Liddell as well. The numbers are not that far off.
