I thought it was a draw, 6 rounds each, but I don't have a problem with a Kessler win. He actually had more oomph tonight than Frock, Frock looked absolute shit tonight, from the first bell, so lethargic.
My fucken shit computer froze and died trying to watch a stream of this,.. but judging by how many british scored it a 'draw' ... that was the give-away for me,.. :crafty:
117-111 is fucking crazy. 115-113 is much more like it. Problem for Carl was that as bone tired as Kessler was, he didn't gas at the end like I thought he would. The question now has to be {a} how much did the injury affect Froch {b} how much did the headbutts affect Kessler vs Ward All in all these guys have lit up the tourney with by far the best fight so far....
Irish, Frock didn't look injured to me, I think what affected him maybe was flying in from England on Wednesday, not having enough time to settle in before the fight. He just looked lethargic, almost like he was jetlagged.
Well you had her Kessler by 2,.. and I'll believe that,.. this means one thing though, and one thing only judging by the introduction of 'legacy extinguishing' into fightbeat, fantastic logic,... Bernard Hopkins legacy just got blown to shit again,...
Carl won the 9th......but he had a look of concern about him in the 9th. I couldn't place it. I get the feeling that Carl took a fraction of the punishment that Kessler did, but still clearly lost the fight, a la Raul Marquez vs Keith Mullings
Did you even see round 9? There is no way you could score that round for Kessler. Kessler's best rounds were 6 and 7. Most of the other rounds were close.
If anyone deserved to win the fight it was Kessler, quite simply he looked like he wanted it more, and actually gave it some. I gave Frock the 12th, which resulted in 6 rounds a piece. It kind of seemed like Kessler won, even though I scored it a draw, but also like you said, it seemed like Kessler took more punishment. Strange fight, but pretty good though actually.
No, it looked like he was at the time, but no punch landed, Frock kind of cuffed his gloves, and Kessler just fell over.
Yes but he buckled him with a right moments earlier...my Romanian guides were busy screaming "no esta knockdown" so I let it go......
Yep he did, I can't remember if it was before or after, but a good right hand landed and buckled Kessler. Kessler took a very meaty right hand from Frock early on, and took it fine, but in the second half of the fight Frock definitely hurt Kessler more than vice versa, he stunned Kessler a few times.
By the way, I can't believe that hometown fighters are like 5-0 in the tournament, coincidence or not?
Okay chaps I am done for the evening, the Yankee boys will catch this one later and then we will have the full opinion of the board. Cracking fight!
BTW - Kess looked so goddamn old tonight, that bum ass Allen Green becomes a live underdog to beat him.
Froch should have turned it up earlier, the had a great 12th round, dammage wise, and I feel he is more able than Kessler to endure a trench war. Kessler showed more heart tonight than he did in his 2 losses, he really wanted the win.
