Theres now controversy about Abraham-Froch. AA wants, and is convinced that fight is headed for Germany. But Froch is saying it happens in the UK, or he pulls outta the tourney. It'll be interesting to see where it ends up. All I know is that AA is a bigger draw in Germany, then Froch is the UK. Froch is FAR from being Hatton in UK drawing power, thats for damn sure.

 

My understanding was that the fights alternated unofficially?

Froch was at home vs Dirrell, away vs Kessler.

Kessler was away vs Ward, at home vs Froch.

Dirrell was away vs Froch, at home vs AA.

AA was at home vs Taylor, away vs Dirrell, and therefore at home vs Froch
Just to maintain the symmetry, Taylor was away vs AA, then his replacement Green must be at home, which he is, simply by dint of his and Ward being American. That's the only exception, and it is hardly, well, exceptional.

Now...I think Carl is a bit sore over losing a close brutal fight. I will put his comments down to emotion, which is perfectly acceptable.

In terms of maths, Abraham is the bigger draw, he does more TV and bigger attendances. And he is backed up by a FAR bigger promotional outfit.

Kessler deserved this one, no fucking way Dirrell did. You don't win fights by running and flopping for 12 rounds, especially if you're the fucking challenger for the title. Frock rightfully for the decision, he won the fight.

 

By the way, I totally think the fights should take place on neutral(ish) soil. Surely they would do just as well if they were ALL in Vegas for example?

W/o Super 6 Froch would still have a few options. 1.) Travel to Montreal and fight Bute(a loss), try to get a rematch with Taylor(a win), try to get a fight with Pavlik(a win), or move up to 175 and fight Dawson(a loss).

But financially outside of a Bute fight, it makes more sense for him to stay in the tourney. I think he'll eventually bend, and the fight will be in Germany.

Personally I dont think location matters for AA-Froch. I'm confident Abe will clean Froch's clock. But if its Germany, Froch has no shot in hell.
