How the fuck can you say that there are not anymore exciting fights coming up. I mean last weekend we had a block buster of fights. The week before that we had Bute fucking up Miranda the Pavlik/Martinez fights. Next week we got Williams/Cintron. A week after that Khan/Paulie/Campbell/Ortiz, then a week later we got Vasquez/Marquez which could be foty. Are you shitting me dude. This has been a hellava run in fights. You're a fucking clown. If I was a mod I would ban your ass for making stupid ass comments like this.

Man, I'm talking about SuperFights, dawg! The kinds of fights where your neighbours who hate boxing are calling you up asking if you wanna come over and check it out on his big screen while shooting pool and having beers.
Yeah, there's some good fights here and there but this ain't the same as the days leading up to superfights like when Trinidad, Oscar, Vargas, Tyson, Lennox, etc were on ppv.
Different times now. Still good fights but it's still not the same as past years when we had a lot of superstars in the sport.

 

Dude you are making seem like there were superfights on every single weekend back in the day. You act like all those fighters were in super fight after super fight. Well I ain't changing up my story, dawg. I already said the sport was in despair. We got a few good fights here and there to keep hardcore fans pleased. And I don't know what kind of interest there is in boxing where you live. But up here in Canada, there ain't sh*t. Not a f*cking thing over here. Just a blurb in the back section of the sports paper.
And yeah, all those guys I mentioned were all interesting to watch. Especially when Trinidad, Vargas, Mosley, and Oscar were still young and near their peaks. Just seemed like generally far more excitement in that period and there were a hell of a lot more fans on the forums.

Gotta agree with Hanzy, this a is a bright spot on the darkness that is boxing.

 

The thing is, no superfight lately has at all lived up to the hype. The other major blockbuster being Fraudweather vs De La Hoya all but killed boxing's progress. All that hype and the result being a boring piece of sh*t with fans yelling "UFC...UFC" at the end of it!
If Shane/Fraud could be exciting and lives up to its hype, it could really be good for the sport. A step forward once again.
But with Fraud's defensive pussy style, don't expect much. The only way we'll even get a fight out of this is if Shane comes forward since Fagweather will be on his backfoot for the duration like the DLH and Bumdomir fights.
It's all up to Shane to make this fight at all appealing to the non-fans who are watching this just because of the hype behind it.

Agree, the quality of fighters out now is laughable to just about any era in recent memory. This Super 6 tourney was supposed to stimulate boxing and all it has done has everyone realize how poor the quality of fighters are today. The only good fighters worth watching are Mayweather and Dawson but there's no one to dance with them.

 

TLC, do you think Dawson is better than Pacquiao?

Apples and oranges I have Pacquiao ahead on top list but haven't enjoyed any of his fights since he fought Marquez.

I didn't see enough of his fights to comment but I have said that I respect a fighter who can KO every single one of his opponents. His murdering, suicidal ways are between him and his maker....I'm only interested in the fighter.
