personally, i'd be scared for fedor if he fought guys like carwin, velazquez or dos santos.

maybe it's a good thing that he'll never fight in the ufc. by the time he gets there, he might get served like crocop or noguiera.

Fedor is still relatively young and has had relatively very easy and quick fights. The only real issue is the health of his hand which seems prone to injury.
Also, Fedor, Lesnar and Carwin are all around the same age. Carwin is actually 35. Lesnar will be 33 in a couple of months. Fedor is 33 right now.

2 years older than Fedor. Sounds funny eh? Brock and Fedor are about 8-9 months apart. So really, LOL @ people on here acting like Fedor is the old generation.
He's still a kid in this game. He wasn't like Noguira where every fight was a war. The average time of Fedor's fights is basically 1 round or 3-4 minutes of action and he doesn't sustain much damage other than a cut on the eye or nose or a self-inflicted injured hand as a result of caving somebody's skull in.

Nonsense, just because 21 of his 34 fights haven't even hit the the 5 minute mark, doesn't mean he hasn't been in wars. He's has plenty of wars with.......well he's had them. At least Bob and Weave and Buddy Rydell say so.

Also who could forget the classic failure by Buddy, insinuating that MMA is more taxing on the body than pro wrestling, a sport that is resulted in the deaths of dozens.

Yeah but lately, he's been disposing of guys in relatively quick fashion. Lindland, Hong Man, Sylvia, Arlovski, etc. The Rogers fight went 2 rounds and was fairly entertaining. Although not overly taxing on Fedor. He looked like he could've gone a few more rounds.

Yeah, but Buddy Rydell is a 'special' member of this board. He needs our support.

I guess getting a damn hole in your stomache from too much cortisone isn't enough of a reminder that Brock is fucked up.

Brock will have a very short career in MMA, in my opinion. If Carwin doesn't get him, Velasquez or Dos Santos will.

Fedor huggers are realizing his time for his demise imminent and are making excuses beforehand. Happens all the time. I'm picking Werdum although I don't honestly believe he will win. I hope so though...

Werdum is 6-4, 240lbs and a BJJ Black Belt. Why would anybody write this guy off?

He's got a shot. Fedor always shows up for fights, that's something I can't take away from him, which has allowed him to overachieve in the sense of being absolutely spotless(besides the robbery of Arona) that, and the padding.

No way can you say Fedor is still a young fighter. Fedor has had 34 fights and there were definately some wars in there. You do realize that most of the wear and tear for a fighter comes in training, right? This guy trains year round. Not to mention all of the Sambo and Judo tournaments he has been in.

His career has been only 10 years. About the same as BJ and Silva.

Penn has had 12 fewer fights than Fedor and both are arguably on the decline as well.

Cain will be the best heavyweight ever, though. His resume will also look a lot better.

Fedor wasn't fighting 5 round wars for the title in his 4th fight. BJ hasn't fought a questionable fighter in his career. Even the lesser fighters he's faced, it's offset by the fact those fights were at 185.

Fedor's reflexes still look sharp based on nail Arlovski and Rogers with sudden strikes.

He doesn't look any different, but he also hasn't fought CroCop or Nog recently.

That being said, no matter how good he is/was, every fight is a risk including Werdum.

Best heavyweight ever huh?? With only 8 fights, the best of those beating a shot to shit Nog and struggling vs. Kongo? That's quite a prediction.

No worries TLC. If Cain fails, there's a whole bunch of other wagons that need riding.
