I'm starting to lean towards a PBF TKO the more I think about it. If he doesn't hurt PBF early & get his respect & his agression is not effective, he may get counter-punched to death, and it's not really his style to fight to survive if he does get in trouble. Then again I'm not sure that PBF with his "fight not to lose" style would be prepared to take the risk of pressing the advantage for fear of getting caught himself. Yeah, sticking with PBF by clear dec.
Mayweather by decision. Shane is too old and, at this stage, simply not good enough to beat Mayweather, though I'm hoping upon hope that I am wrong. This is the most meaningful fight Floyd has fought in about five years, though, and I'm looking forward to seeing (at last) how he deals with an elite, albeit inactive and old, welterweight. A domineering performance would deserve kudos- Shane has proven over the last few years that he is still a very tough night for a top level fighter. As much as I hate Mayweather, I think he'll handle Shane pretty easily. MTF
This is 100% true. He's nowhere near as fast or mobile as he was at 130, not even close, he wins fights mainly on skill/defense/ringcraft these days.
I'm going with the upset. I just have a feeling that Mosley is determined to pull it off and that he will just "out-man" Floyd. I'll go with Mosley TKO 10.
Mayweather by Decision... I hope Mosley can do something to make a fight out of it. Yeah Mosley look great vs. Margarito...but can't get out of my mind that he was at times outbox and outfought by Cotto just 2-3 fight ago...Mosley is an hot and cold fighter sometimes he look great...sometimes he doesn't.
Don't you think like the world of Cotto? Anyway, Floyd wins by UD. Then everybody comes to the forum bitching that Floyd didn't KO Mosley and that Shane is the shottest boxer alive and bitching about Floyd's next possible opponent. Even if it's Pacquiao.
Who are the 10 people who picked Shane. This fight is easy work for Floyd unless he gets hit with a bodyshot he doesnt see coming then he could have some very rocky rounds no pun intended
I can't believe some are picking Floyd by KO! The guy didn't take any risks againt a smaller JMM even after he dropped him. Shane has showned an iron chin as well as tons of heart. Either Floyd by UD or Shane by KO because Shane is not outboxing Floyd either. I think Floyd wins by UD! I don't care how old Shane is this would be a good win for Floyd. Months ago people said Floyd was ducking him now he's too old? I don't see too many active boxers with Shane's age fighting at that level. I think Shane will make it close for the first half of the fight and Floyd will take a lead and protect it in the second half.
I gonna go with Mosley and I'm hoping that new girl he got has turned back the clock a bit for him. I'm also hoping Floyds inactivity has turned forward his clock. Realistically PBF wins by UD. P.S. Floyd's not Ko'ing anyone. You should have those guys making that prediction as a 3rd choice. BTW if Floyd wins it because of PED's. Floyd will be the only one drugged in the ring. :crafty:
I hope Mosley tears Fraud Fairyweather's heart out and buries him. Right before that, Mosley's new woman takes a diarretic sh*t on Fraud's corpse!
Nobody would bitch about Pacquiao as an opponent for PBF as far as his legitimacy as a threat is concerned. Personally, if PBF fights a non-challenge again after SSM, it will lend a lot of credence to the theory that the only reason he fought Mosley in the first place is because he was essentially backed into a corner.
Mayweather groupies. And your comment regarding Pacquaio is complete bullshit. People on this forum were beyond excited about Pacquaio-Mayweather before it all fell apart.
It's not really about the fight with me,..they are both disgraced,.. I'm especially pissed off with Shane, he doesn't like the 'heat' he gets for his EPO use, and remains in denial despite being exposed over and over again, you think the least he could do is adopt the same clause to carry forward,... since he stood up and participated in the anti-ped golden boy/mayweather press release,...but the devious 'smiling' lieng, hypocrit will drop all dat stuff, straight after the fight. :shit: It's all about the clause, and I hope Fraud wins and he probably will,.. 8 - 4.. in a stinking, bitch decision is fair enough.
Different fighter, different fight. Ali couldn't KO Frazier or Norton but KO'd Foreman. Mayweather couldn't stop Judah (who Tszyu KO'd in TWO rounds) but stopped Hatton (who took everything Tszyu had to offer and then stopped him in 11).. Floyd had a couple difficulties with the agression of Castillo, but knocked out the guy who knocked out Castillo after beating him at his own game. Pacquiao couldn't knock out Marquez either after two tries...but stopped Cotto and Hatton. The history of boxing tell you that it's never that simple. From where I sit, looking at Shane's aggressive style, his leaky defense after 3 rounds and his tendency to fight in spurts...Floyd is more likely to stop him than the cagey counter punching genius known as Marquez.
Mayweather via UD. Its not in his nature to take risks. This isn't based on how he fought Marquez. Its based on how he's been fighting since the Baldomir fight where he just wants to stay out of harms way. Did it with De La Hoya, Hatton(Even though he took Hatton out, and fought a good fight, the KO came to him, he didn't go for it), and Marquez. I see Floyd just potshotting, in and out, side to side like always and doing enough for the judges which is ultimately what matters.
PBF hasn't been hit with a solid hard shot in a long time by a decent puncher. I have a feeling IF Mosley can crack that chin PBF will drop like a sack of Potatoes!
De La Hoya's left hook at 154lbs is harder than any single Mosley shot. Floyd got nailed at least once with that shot and took it well. Zab Judah, like him or hate him, can bang! Floyd got hit flush at least a couple times on the chin by him as well. Castillo hit him hard with an overhand right in their first fight as well as a well placed uppercut. Floyd has a solid chin. People always assume that fast, slick, elusive fighters have no whiskers....but it's a bad assumption to make. Floyd has never truly tasted canvas in 40 fights.
We shall see Sly. Behind all that Defensive armor I suspect lies a glass chin. It runs in the family bru ::
If every aspect of boxing talent ran in the family....a PRIME Marvis Frazier (::) wouldn't have been KO'd in 1 round by both Tyson and Holmes. A glass chin would have been exposed in 40 fights.
This point is silly...he clearly said Floyd hadn't been caught by a hard shot in a long time and your best reference dates back three years. On second read, this entire post is silly in light of the comment you're responding too... Judah - 2006 Castillo - 2002 I recall Sugar Ray Leonard saying that after he'd been away for awhile getting hit wasn't the same. Said prior to his layoff (the first one) he didn't care about getting hit but once he'd made money, stayed away, came back...the punches hurt a little bit more and he wasn't as willing to trade. That's the point he made. You missed it completely.
Not really. May sound like a joke now but the clear reaction after Pacquiao beat Cotto was that Floyd would win only because he's bigger or rangier, some BS like that and that even if Floyd wins Pacquiao should be regarded as the best. Search the forum if you forgot. Now that Pacquiao toyed with Clottey and maybe if Mayweather doesn't look too hot against Mosley perception will change, but let's see.
