I begin to think if we start to check for drugs like in the Mayweather-Mosley fight, we will get more results like that. Boxers used to a good "diet" will look like shit, when enforced to be clean, just like Mosley. His lack of conditioning and ability to take a punch from a soft-puncher like Mayweather could be explained by this. The Fans want those superhumans, we wanna be amazed. We don't want cyclists who are barely going faster than the average man, we don't want 100m sprinters fighting to get under 10 seconds anymore and we don't want all boxers look like Shane Mosley last weekend. Just let them use whatever they want, like it's always been. Doping isn't what needs to be fixed in boxing. Pretty smart move from Mayweather though, if Pac is enforced to go through that style of testing nobody will scratch their heads about that robotic workrate and iron chin by a former 112pounder.
Agreed. I want to see Floyd fight the guy who's been destroying everyone. I want to see how Floyd matches up with that guy, not some clean former flyweight fighting naturally.
PBF historically dealt with his fear of PED users by not facing anyone his own size. Now he's using a self-righteous USADA campaign. There will have to be an astericks by PBF's record. He's already admitted he's afraid of the Pacquiao he watched destroy Cotto.
Someone needs to tell him to use a little bit more, although i think his with his style he would not benefit as much as pure stamina monsters or pressure fighters.
Nice agenda driven post, but no drug in the world can help Roy return to his glory days of ripped fuel.
Oh and it´s good for the sport, because old guys will lose sooner, stop blocking TV spots from fresher and better fighters, which means better fights and more KOs.
