For the die hards out there, just a reminder not to miss Bellator 17 this Thursday. You get to see Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez in a fight at 160 pounds against UFC veteran Josh Neer. Neer is always exciting and should make this fun to watch. Personally I consider Alvarez the best MMA fighter not in the UFC with the exception of Fedor. He is always worth watching.

The featherweight semi final fights are also on the card which includes a cool bout between Roger Huerta and Pat Curran.

the Neer/Alvarez fight should be exciting to say the least. Eddie should take care of him, but Neer will put up a fight and will make a nice showing for himself.

    I love Bellator.:partie:

I love watching Toby Imada fight. The guys isn't close to world class, but he's got awesome submissions. And give this crowd credit, they seemed well educated in the sport and aren't the kind just looking for a glorified toughman contest. They were into every submission attempt.

It was a close fight, but I had Curran winning. Curran and Imada in the finals.

Alvarez has really stepped up his game since his time in Japan. He's not just depending on his KO power to win fights anymore. He's fighting smarter and more well rounded.

He knew Neer wanted to keep the fight standing, so he took him to the ground and dominated him.

I love Bellator, but hopefully Eddie beats the winner of the Imada\Curran fight, then finally signs with the UFC where he can show the world he's the best 155 pound fighter on the planet.

Penn just lost to Edgar, so I wouldn't put him at the top of the list anymore.

Except he'd still beat Eddie without much trouble..

Did you really score that fight for Edgar? I thought the decision was a bunch of crap honestly.
