Countries that to your knowledge have never prduced a worldl class fighter?

What are some large countries that you can't recall a world class professional fighter come from. Remember that I said that you recall.

Two that jump out at me are India and Switzerland.

JAvier Castilejo really stretches the definition 'world class'. So - Spain? Greece, too.

 

China. for obvious reasons. But no defectors either.

China won a couple of Olympic golds last time out. Does that count as world class? Probably not. ::

 

Not if you didn´t win it by punching the other guy in the face, but by being chinese and not falling over, when the other guy hit you.

 

There needs to be some criteria for this. 90% of the world hasn't produced a world class fighter. One that stands out however, is Mongolia.

He was a world champion. If you are going to be picky with the term than this topic is pointless and petty, as the number of truly elite fighters from different countries could be counted on your fingers.

 

JC also went on to stop Sturm for a middleweight belt. He was definitely world class.

Hm, hadn't heard of him. Just did a search, looks like he's the only world titlist in their history.

 

Yep and Lakva was pretty good too. I think he qualifies as world class.

BTW what happened to Sim? He knocks out Ebo Elder for a title eliminator and then never fights again... Kinda weird.

 

Not really world class but Kabary Salem of Egypt managed to knock down Slappy in a title fight. ::

 

Juan Diaz beat him in his first title fight. Sim was slightly favored going in if memory serves.
