    Told you.

Having seen the first fight, I just can't believe most of you picked Machida. It was completely obvious that an on form Shogun is simply a better fighter. It's now even more obvious

His striking skills are elementary. His defense is leaning his head backwards and backfooting. LOL

It's funny listening to you guys call Machida a fraud and act like his career is over. He goes 14-0 against a who's who of fighters in dominating fashion before running into Shogun, and suddenly he's a fraud?

He'll be back and he'll win a lot of fights against top fighters before he's done.

exactly, whenever he attacks, his head is big exposed target. Plus, he doesn't move his head at all.

I thought Machida would watch the tape and improve and Rua would regress, I was wrong. This is funny as hell. Great win for Shogun.

If you were refering to me, I was only joking when I called him a fraud ( everytime an undefeated fighter loses, you see a couple of fraud exposed post ). but don't get me wrong, Machida was very overatted. i remeber most of you claiming Rampage wouldn't stand a chance vs him:notallthere::notallthere:

No he won't. He's f*cking garbage like I said MORE than a year ago. The holes in his game were way apparent to me, it was a matter of time. It's obvious you don't really know MMA as much as you think, TFK. Another feather in your cap. LOL

I'm particularly impressed with this performance by Shogun. He could've played it safe, just out um, out thai-boxed Machida  just peppered him with kicks and punches, cautiously. But he went out and made a statement, fucked Machida up in the first round. The on form Shogun is an excellent fighter.

You know you have major holes in your game when your defense against striking is running backwards with your head leaned back. Machida was a fraud! He LOST to Shogun twice. Exposed in both. Machida era my ass. I called it a long time ago!

I picked this result the first fight, but Shogun couldn't get it done, and I just wasn't sure of his form. I didn't pick Shogun this time because I wanted Machida to lose so badly that I didn't want to disappoint myself again, but MAN I AM SO HAPPY TO BE WRONG! WOOOO!

Shogun knew Machida didn't take a good shot. He learned from the first fight. It was obvious Machida was a KO waiting to happen.

Of course. Like I said before, MMA is a complicated sport and the majority of its fighters are jacks of all trades, masters of none. According to the experts, Machida was a top level striker when in reality, his flaws are amateur level which is fixed up in a 1 month boxing camp. Yeah, they're garbage. Not impressed with the majority of them. Machida is probably brilliant at Karate. But this isn't Karate, this is MMA.
So I'd say Machida is a great Karateman, but garbage in MMA where many other elements of combat are involved. His striking skills are mediocre, his defensive skills are worse.
