You criticize Machida fans when all you had the balls to say PRE fight was ".....golly gee, I the hope Machida era ends." Real balsy to 'HOPE'. Make a pick next time big boy and then see how you do. Hell, prove me wrong.. Make a couple of picks for the upcoming UFC 114. Certainly someone who is SO willing to slam other people's picks will have no issue making his own.. Here you go big boy: Jackson vs Evans Bisping vs Miller Duffee vs Russo Lets see how you do.
Hanzy PMed me his picks. I'll post them after the fights. They're really detailed, to the second even!
There should be a standing prediction thread for each event that is locked prior to it. Then no one can bullshit.
Why would I need to prove anything to anybody, Trplsec? Do I ever ask you to prove yourself to me? :dunno: As I said in detail already, when I make picks for fights, I don't make picks primarily based on who beats who. I make an overall assumption based on what I studied of the fighter in question long before. For example, when Rich Franklin was the dominant champion at 205, he was heralded by many. I personally saw no real quality in him and said as much. And I said the first legitimate quality fighter he fights will give him a test which Franklin will not be ready for. Anderson Silva came along and turned Franklin's world upside down. I didn't necessarily pick Anderson to be the dominant champion he became in the UFC but I did indeed pick Franklin to not be the great champion which many fans insisted he was. I saw too many flaws in Franklin and I saw fear in his eyes under pressure. So I made my decision long before Franklin's demise that his reign would be very short lived. I also was on target with my prediction that Tim Sylvia, Matt Hughes, and Chuck Liddell would be brutally taken care of a short while before they were respectively knocked off their perches. Now I'm not going to say I'm right all the time. Because I'm not. I've been wrong many times. But when I make my predictions, as I said already, I only look at whether such and such fighter will really live up to the hype put upon him by the bandwagoning crowd. When Machida crunched Evans, all the garbage about the Machida-era began, coming from the mouths of Joe Rogan, Dana White and Mike Goldberg. Now, as Joe Rogan is a company man, I'm unsure whether he really truly believed that Machida would be this unstoppable machine which he hyped up to be. I knew better. And I believed, while others didn't, that Shogun had all the qualities to ask serious questions of Machida. And he beat Machida both times. Now the new talk is whether Brock Lesnar is going to be this great dominant champion. And I believe he won't be. I could be right or wrong. But as I was on the mark with my prediction that the Machida era would end quickly, I'm predicting Lesnar too will meet his end just as quickly. I'm not sure yet about Carwin being that man but as we get closer to the fight and I see more of their training videos leading in, I will have my prediction ready. I'll have my predictions ready for Jackson/Evans and Bisping/Miller too. I'm not always right but I damn sure don't parade around acting like I'm the Max Kellerman of MMA and proclaiming everybody else's opinion is worthless and mine is gold.
Hanzy's pick is, 'everybody sucks except for Fedor'. That is until Fedor loses, then he sucks too. So whenever someone loses a fight he can say 'See, I told you all along.' TFK
"I saw these weaknesses in Fedor since his first MMA fight, I have studied him and knew it was only a matter of time before someone else noticed what I did and took advantage of these glaring defects only a true student of the game could see" - Hanzy after Fedor loses. ::
Not happening. I stick by my favourites, always. I saw Fedor coming all the way back in 2002 in the Heath Herring fight. I even made a thread on this a couple years back.
And you're a full fledged bandwagoner who goes jumping on whoever is the hot fighter that day.:: Don't be messing in my yard till you clean your own, TFK.:nono: I'm more than happy to be wrong in my predictions. You on the other hand can't take it when people disagree with you.
I had my money on Shogun. Yeah, I HOPED he'd beat Machida. And I hoped for the right guy to get it done. That makes me a winner! :bears:
Not on here you didn't. You didn't have the balls to pick a winner. You only "Hoped" Shogun would win. And I still haven't seen your picks to these 3 fights. Man up Hanz. It's a bitch move to slam TFK for picking wrong when you didn't even have the sack to make picks. No one on this forum claims to be an expert, and you are the only one criticizing picks. And, coincidentally, you are the only one without the nads to make any picks. Funny stuff Hanz.
It's not funny at all. The thing is, I'm happy to be posting here and I'm happier to be wrong. There's nothing wrong with being wrong. But there is something wrong with a person who moderates this forum, disrespects other people about not knowing MMA, and then being wrong himself. Don't act like you're the god of MMA and know everything and calling other people "noobs" when you are just as wrong in your opinions as the noobs. If people on this forum didn't disrespect so much and just let people make their opinions, everything would be fine. TFK unfortunately feels its his duty to disrespect other members who post on his MMA forum. And if you disagree with him, he'll openly talk sh*t about you as being a "noob" or "not knowing sh*t about MMA".
It was on BoxingTime. Anyway, I got something here I posted last year about when I saw Fedor's arrival. http://www.fightbeat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30390
Right now, I'm putting Evans over Rampage by decision. I'll have my next pick ready soon for Bisping/Miller.
OK.. Since you won't man up and make your picks. Here's another challenge. Show me any instance of TFK gloating after a fight about being right while someone else was wrong. It shouldn't be hard since you claim he does it all the time. And remember, that's ALL you do... The most disrespectful person on this forum in terms of acting like they KNOW shit while others don't is YOU. Hands down. I've personally disagreed with TFK over several fights or fighters including Eddie Alvarez, the Diaz brothers, and even the Kimbo Slice-Mercer fight without being banned from the forum or disrespected. Show me Hanz. Show me.
Holy shit. Way back in February of 2009 Hanzy knew Fedor was special. Damn, you had to be the first. How could you have known? :stir:
Show you what? It's between TFK and myself. He knows what's up. You're not even relevant in this. Why would I need to show you anything? :: Take a walk.
Yawn, not even worth talking to you anymore. It's all just going completely over your head. Moving on...
I get a kick out of Hanzy desperaretly bringing up that I picked 3 fights wrong on a card. Like that bothers me. Hell, if I was able to pick winners all the time, I wouldn't be spending time on a message board, I'd be living in Vegas making myself rich. I pick fights wrong all the time. But I pick them right all the time too. But for some desperate attention whore to come here thinking that continually pointing out one bad card is gonna bother me, that's laughable, and says a hell of a lot more about him then me. And Hanzy's game is very transparent. It's common knowledge that extended winning streaks are very uncommon in MMA, even among the very best fighters. There are several reasons for that, including the numerous different matchups in styles, the best always fighting the best, and the fact that in MMA on any given night an upset is bound to happen. So it's easy for someone to come here and claim that a certain fighter is all hype, and then when they eventually lose, go back to that claim and say 'I told you so!', when in reality, you told us nothing. Mousasi lost to King Mo, does that mean he's done as a fighter? Of course not. Machida looked bad against Shogun, does that mean he no longer one of the top 205ers in the world? Of course it doesn't. The best MMA fighters lose. It happens. Hell, the top 10 P4P MMA fighters according to Yahoo Sports have a combined 28 losses. So claiming that you were 'right' about a fighter being a hypejob when they lose means absolutely nothing. Now as for the rest of Hanzy's bullshit....and that's what it is, bullshit...I have never disrespected a poster or threatened anyone with a ban for giving an opinion on a fighter that I disagreed with, I have never called anyone a 'noob', I'm far from a bandwagon jumper jumping from fighter to fighter, I never claimed I was an 'MMA Genius' as he says so often, and I have never deleted a post that didn't break the rules that are in place here. For a guy who claims to have been banned from over a dozen MMA forums (I'm sure that's bullshit too) to come in here talking shit about me as a moderator and other members of the board, when his only purpose is to garner attention on himself rather then intelligently discuss the sport, well that's just pathetic. And if it were up to me, and many others who post here, Hanzy, you'd be banned from the MMA section permanently. And not because you post disagreeing opinions about fighters I like, or because you think every fighter is a hype job or because you won't pick winners, but because your sole purpose for being here is to stir shit up and cause problems, and you constantly post lies and bullshit, so people give you the attention you so desperately crave. And if you don't like it, too damn bad. TFK
Stir sh*t up? Cause problems? Me???? No...not me! I'm just a poor 47 year old indian man trying to enjoy the splendors of life and a little side entertainment if possible. Boo Hoo if anybody gets a tad upset over my posts. I don't go looking for attention. Attention comes looking for me. No matter where I go or which board I post on.
The trolling and attention whoring doesn't bother me about Hanz. We all know that and accept it. In fact it really is entertaining from time to time. My problem is when he blatantly lies about what mods have or haven't done. That's just BS. But all in all I have to give it to him. Who else knew Fedor was going to be great way back in 2009.
I knew it in 2002. If you actually read my messages instead of acting like a smartass, you'd have figured it out.
