Which still doesn't excuse his very poor response.

I'm not sure there's enough time to fully discuss that. We're talking about a lot of suck.

Yes, I am. I can tell by your post that you are in favor or tasteless jokes about Valero.

Then you just like being a jerk to the new guy? If someone posts something idiotic, they deserve to get told so. He wasn't out of line.

Talk about being out of touch with reality. This new guy calls someone an "ignorant asshole" and he's NOT out of line?? Please get a grip here.

There are countless non-childish ways he could have responded to Whiskey and got his point across. it's not that hard to do.

Yeah, but how often do you see a father and son be great fighters, or even very good ones?

Usually the father was great (or very good) and the son is not, or vice-versa.

I can't even think of an example off the top of my head (and I could be totally zoning out and missing an obvious one) where father and son boxers were close to equal at a high level. I guess there could be an exception, but i can't think of one at this moment.

This could be a good separate topic.

Honestly, I can't get past the nickname. There is no way he has a productive career being known as The Monk.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck..... How is a new guy to know Whisky isn't just some troll? Sure we know, but that is because we have posted together for years. I'm just saying, go easy on the new guy. Give him some time to figure people out.

    Joe...

Leave the guy alone. He was offended by what Whiskey said, he doesn't know Whiskey's history like the rest of us and so he overreacted, He said he wants to leave it. So leave it and let's move on.

It's all good. It's over and done with as far as I'm concerned. I'm moving on, and I'm sure he's a good cat. We all have our senses of humor that not everyone is on board with.

    Nothing serious.

I know where the younger Foremans grew up for atleast a little while. Their father grew in in Houston's Fifth Ward, the little Foreman's grew up in the burbs. The little Foremans are soft.

    Well...both Mathis's were top 10 guys who didn't win a title.

Laila and her dad were both top 5 p4p when they quit fighting : ).

Only Problem is, Ali Fought EVERY Perceived Threat to his Title, Whereas Laila Only had ONE (Ann Wolfe), yet DUCKED It...

Laila Ali was More of an OPPORTUNIST than a Fighter...& the Instant She Got Famous Enough to NOT Need Boxing Anymore, She Dropped the Sport like a Bad Habit...

    Good observation, bro!

Mathis Sr. was a very good fighter who rocked Joe Frazier in a title shot and beat George Chuvalo, and went the distance and gave hard fights to Ali and Jerry Quarry.

Mathis Jr. was going great until he ran into real hitters like Tyson and Savarese, good skills, but not durable.
