Well smart move to bypass the rematch. Maravilla's style would always befuddle him. But honestly... how well is he gonna fare at 168 vs the likes of the Super 6, and Bute?

Also Jack Slow was talkin of him possibly moving to 175 and fighting Dawson?:laughing:

If a jnr middle southpaw speedster like Martinez can beat the hell outta him, I dont wanna know what Chad would do to him.

    Thoughts?

What a bitch. He knows all the top guys are locked up in the Super 6. He should have entered instead of Taylor so he could have been KTFO and quit by now.

Hmmm I remember after the tourney was announced Kelly was asked why he didnt enter and he said something to the effect of "For what? Let those guys beat eachother up for peanuts".

all i can say is he needs a win badly. and can't afford right now to risk losing. my guess is since he is not taking the rematch clause, that his contract with HBO is over? does this mean he'll be going to Showtime? the channel he talked so much shit about? oh how the tables turn. actually, my guess is Pavlik will be on BAD. he needs to stay away from anyone decent at 168. Andrade beats him, IMO. As does Bute obviously. he should pursuit the Margarito fight.

Apparently he was 20 pounds over the limit 24hrs before the weigh in. I'm sure that's exaggerated, but still.

Has that been talked about? It wouldn't surprise me if they go that route.:shit::shit:

I might even have to cheer for Margarito in that one:eek:ld:

Andrade is a logical choice for Pavlik. Of anyone at 168, Andrade has the style that suits Kelly the best. If he cant beat Andrade, he might as well retire.

We all know that Bute is a style nightmare for him. In my mind ALL the Super 6 fighters except for Allan Green, would fuck Pavlik up.

If they have Master Plaster move up to 168, it'd be a total puss move. But my hunch tells me that'll pursue an Andrade fight.

You must have meant to direct that to Double, and not me. I'd pick Pavlik over Andrade.

Double is the one who said that Andrade could beat Dawson.

There's NATHAN @ 160 Besides Martinez, a Guy that would BEAT Pavlik 9 Times Out of 10...Going to Canada & Facing Bute would B a Decent Payday, but Pavlik WON'T Beat Bute...

The BOOK is OUT on Pavlik...HANDSPEED, MOBILITY & HEAD MOVEMENT Renders him Virtually USELESS...& it's SAD, Because REED had HIGH Hopes for this Cat...

9 times out of 10? looked to me like pavlik had a decent chance of winning if he didnt suffer that unfortunate cut.

Since he's a bum, it's a big surprise that Andrade arguably beat Bute the first time they fought. Nobody was calling him a bum after that. It's so funny the way people take no responsibility for anything they believed leading up to a fight. Once it's over, they knew it all along. It's classic the way people here like to act like they knew this all along or that. Bull-shit.

Very bad move for Pavlik, granted he must have struggling to make the weight. He would do better trying other routes at 160 if not martinez and feeding on what remain sat 160 while waiting for the likes of Angulo, Kirkland etc. to come up in weight...168 is a car crash waiting to happen for him

so how did you reconcile your assessment that he was a bum directly following the first Bute fight?
