I got cut off on the radio a little bit ago because I called in and yelled at the guy, I definitely didn't handle it right but I made my point.

He was on the air saying that the Williams-Cintron fight was fixed, he didn't know how or why but, he knew that this had never happened before - a fighter has never fallen out of the ring and been injured where he couldn't continue.... etc etc

then he said that he liked paul williams but that williams clearly didn't want any part of mayweather and was looking to avoid him.

I have a big-ass shoe box of all my old Ring magazines and the sister publications from as far back as the boxing.com days. I'm talking way back from when Mosley was still a lightweight.

You feel the need to strategically place copies of The Ring, Boxing Digest, etc., in front of MMA magazine while in bookstores.

You leave afternoon family functions early to catch the live broadcast of Klitschko-Thompson on HBO, even though you know the fight likely will be bullshit and it will be repeated later that night.

You regularly block everyone on your buddy list while watching the broadcast of a live, foreign fight online so they don't interrupt the fight with bs "sup" IMs. That's exluding boxing friends who are watching simultaneously, and know the routine of IMing each other between rounds.

You plan the time you hang out with family and friends so it doesn't conflict with an HBO, Showtime, and occasional ESPN2 telecast.

Here is one - Do you guys ever go to Boxrec and try to do the "seven degrees of separation" aka the Kevin Bacon game, or whatever the hell its called, with fighters records instead of typing the name in to search?

For example - i was just looking up Manny Pacquiao's height vs. Mayweather's height and reach to compare it to Hearns' reach height etc vs. Durans

So i clicked on Pacquiao and then to get to Hearns and Duran i looked for fighters on Pac's resume i could click on to link them to Hearns/Duran. Turned out to be rather easy, I clicked on DLH, who fought Camacho, who fought Duran.

jsut curious. its fun if you havent tried it.

I just wanted to look at Muhammad Ali's record.

Go to Boxrec home, Wladimir Klitshcko is the heavyweight listed on the front page. Click on Klitshcko to Mercer to Holmes to Ali.

You know you're a hardcore fan when you can play the game with pretty much any two fighters WITHOUT using boxrec.

I have a shitload of VHS tapes of fights I used to record for every HBO and Showtimes telecast.

I once had the idea of transferring them to DVDs to save space but never got around to it.

I honestly havent' watched any of them tapes in years. Now I dont' even record the PPVs I order I just download them later for my collection.

But like you said I won't get rid of them. I could use the space but I won't let go.

I remember back around 97-00 I was stationed in Germany and couldn't see the top fights so I had to order every fight after the fact from a guy I found selling them in a boxing magazine.
