When both were revelant and at the top of their games it was ''free''. Now that both comes from a bad loss and when it's a borderline irrevelant fight it's on PPV. Once again, ODLH show that he doesn't give a fuck about boxing and is only interested in pimping the sport. And HBO, by endorsing it ( it's on HBO-PPV ) shows once again how clueless the guy's at the top are.
Disappointing. I hope the fighters are compensated like it's a PPV. I'd order it if it cost 20 bucks but anything more is ridiculous. At this rate BAD cards will be PPV by the end of next year.
It's almost equal in relevance. This is a fight almost nobody is interested in. Yet they make it a PPV.
There's nothing more to consider for the promotions team than the fact their last meet won Fight Of The Year. That's all which matters in their limited scope. Myself, I am more worried about the outcome than how it's being presented. I have always liked Juan Diaz, & he really does need this win, in truth, but backing him would be like my supporting a friend over a brother. Marquez doesn't have the room to spare (unfairly, but that's the way it goes) to accomodate the loss of his championship in the wake of the Mayweather debacle, & also must succeed to finish his career on a high --- whether that be this fight, or one in the near future.
it will certainly be a better fight than tha shitty Hopkins-Jones Jr rematch. the undercard may actually make this card more worth ordering than several other ppv bouts from this year.
let's hope. it's a bad sign though that Sergio Mora is the first guy they have signed up. G undercards generally suck, even worse than average undercards.
That's what I was thinking. G doesn't even put a decent card on huge ppvs where there's alot of money to throw around. I won't bank on the undercard for this to be worth the ordering.
What story is that? Marquez's recent PPV numbers are much higher than that of Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins.
3 of his last 5 fights were PPV fights. He done around 1.8 mill in them 3 fights. Hes a much bigger attraction right now than Roy and B-Hop.
No, it's NOT...Was Bernard Hopkins the "Headliner" when he Faced Tito or Dela on PPV???...Of Course Not:nono:.... When has Marquez's Name EVER Been Listed 1st on a SUCCESSFUL PPV???...Fuuuurthermore, It's COMICAL that U're BRAGGING about Marquez "Doing 1.8 Mil in 3 Fights", when 1 of those Fights was Floyd's COMEBACK, which Did OVER 1 MIL by Itself... REED:hammert:
Floyd Would've Gotten about 850,000 PPV Buys CLOSER to a MIL than JM Marquez Would've Generated, had he Fought Matthew Hatton on the Same Date... REED:mj:
