Instead of Talking OUT of your Ass, ELABORATE on these "Defensive Advantages" that Size & Strength Provides.... REED:mj:
that's what i'm saying. all you have to do is compare PBF's fights in which he DID have the strength advantage with those in which he did not.
N Terms of how the FIGHTS THEMSELVES Played Out, There Really Was NO DIFFERENCE...Floyd SKILLFULLY Beat them All...Some EASIER than Others... REED:mj:
Must you be so angry when you debate? When you're bigger and stronger than your smaller and weaker opponent, it makes it so much easier to take his punches. As such it looked like nothing JMM threw could hurt Floyd no matter how flush it landed.
Floyd Fought Jesus Chavez, Emmanuel Burton, Phillip N'Dou, Demarcus Corley AND Shane Mosley All in a SIMILAR Fashion...Floyd was Only CLEARLY Stronger than ONE of those Fighters... REED:boohoo:
No offense bro but your "It's gonna be a good close fight but Floyd's size and strenght will probably win him a fight HOWEVER! if Manny had those advantages he would beat Floyd" feels too much of a pussy argument. I already addressed it in another thread but you didn't answer. Had they fought at 130 (Think the Mayweather that fought Corrales) who would have won? Would it have been because of size as well? Even when Manny has gone to destroy and prove himself stronger than the elite Welterweights he has fought? It just doesn't make sense and I look at it as no less ridiculous as saying "Well Manny will probably win because he is a bit smaller therefore faster however if Floyd had that speed advantage he would win for sure".
What Makes U Think REED is "Angry"???.... How Many Times did JMM Land "Flush"???...Sugar Shane NAILED Floyd w/2 of the CLEANER Punches that's EVER Been Landed on Floyd, yet he COULDN'T Even Drop him... Does that Mean Floyd is "Bigger & Stronger" than Sugar Shane????.... REED:hammert:
played out? are you serious? so your cumulative knowledge of boxing doesn't allow you to make a distinction between how PBF/ODH played out and PBF/Chavez? are you being serious?
REED "Isn't sure why you quoted that post with this response as it doesn't directly deal with anything that he wrote" REED::
R YOU SERIOUSLY Telling REED that Floyd Beat Jesus Chavez Because he was "Bigger & Stronger"???.... REED:mj:
huh? wtf are you talking about? he had a strength advantage over all of those opponents. for sure. why don't you just ask yourself, as I suggested you should, "what was the difference between PBF vs. ODH and PBF vs. Chavez? can you answer me that question? please?
I haven't said that. Have I? I want you to tell me how and why PBF fought Baldomir differently than he did Chavez.
:: Burton was Floyd's VERY FIRST Fight @ 135...Corley was Floyd's VERY FIRST Fight @ 140...Floyd WAS NOT Stronger than EITHER of them... & NO WAY in HELL was Floyd STRONGER than Sugar Shane Mosley...Even N'Dou is DOUBTFUL... REED'll Grant U Chavez Though... REED:hammert:
Instead of Telling REED what U HAVEN'T Said, Why Not just SAY what U're TRYING to Say???... REED:dunno:
Your argument is impossibly bad. Chavez actually had some success pressing the issue and using his strenght and brawling style until it finally got to him with Floyd's counters. DLH never really pressed Floyd like that since he didn't have it in him and in return got soundly outboxed (Despite his size advantage) after winning a couple of rounds early. Size had NOTHING to do. Pretty funny an ODLH fan is after Floyd's size advantage. Golden girl spent most of his career abusing clearly smaller guys and lost to every single fighter bigger than him or at least as big except for a past his prime Vargas that gave him all he could handle before he pulled out that KO.
what a waste of space this post is. first of all, i don't consider myself a ODH fan. second of all, whatever success Chavez did have was in spite of his size disadvantage. he was able to get off and move forward, but clearly, PBF was too strong, in addition to being too fast.
Since WHEN???...Dude, U SPEARHEADED the Dela DICKRIDING Campaign...That's like REED Saying he "Doesn't Consider" Himself an RJ Fan.... REED:shit:
But not too skillful and smart right? The way he paciently waited for him to tire and found him with the uppercuts as Chavez got sloppier... Nah, that shit ain't worth mentioning. Dude it's boxing. You will fight smaller guys, you will fight bigger guys. Floyd has fought plenty of each. Period, nothing else to say.
Maybe it's the caps. :: Anyway, I don't think the Sugar Shane fight is a good argument here because to be honest Floyd practically fought Shane in a more physical bullying type manner although I'd never say that Floyd was bigger than Shane in that fight he definitely seemed stronger than him. Then again practically everyone Shane fights seems to be stronger than him.
No offense taken. I must have missed your other post. I simply think that the deciding factor @ 147 between the two is PBF's superior strength & size. Do you really think that Manny was stronger than Cotto & Clottey? As such, hypothetically, if Manny had the same advantages over PBF @ 147 that PBF has over Manny, the result would be different, & I have explained why. I guess it's a way of saying that PBF is better suited to W.W than Pacman. I take your point though. Would PBF always have a strength/ size advantage over Manny regardless? I guess if the answer is yes, than my hypothetical scenario means nothing except in a P4P match-up sense, & even in that sense, I would be theoretically assigning both fighters no advantage (only in size) over the other. I would also have to conceed that it should in no way mitigate PBF winning @ W.W. I think you're right & I understand why you think it's a "pussy point" It probably is actually. I stand by my breakdown of the fight, but conceed that my "if Manny had the same advantages over PBF @ 147 that PBF has over Manny, the result would be different" observation is irrellavent. (Unless I change my mind again).
Would it make sense if Pac and JMM met in the ring for a 3rd time? - 26 months after they last met. Would be a big draw among boxing fans to see and JMM has been trying to get Pac back in the ring for a 3rd fight, but personally, I can't see this one coming to being agreed and makes no sense for Pac to take if he's thinking of bigger fish to fry.
After seeing the poll results so far, Pacquaio at 68% to Mayweather's 31%, it renewed my hope for humanity. Everything being EQUAL between Pacquaio and Mayweather, the fight would take place at 135 or 140, and there Pacquaio wins, therefore p4p Pacquaio is the best FIGHTER in the world. At 147, the advantage switches to Floyd. But it doesn't mean he is the better FIGHTER, it means he is the bigger, stronger man.
Ok, fine. But you do know there's no actual basis for this opinion in anything beyond your personal subjective appraisal of their styles, don't you?
