Kotelnik is a decent fighter, and Amir deserves alot of credit for that win, which he never gets

Having said all that... yeah Khan is alot more talented then Mitchell, and Khan would probably beat Kat... but with Kat's pressure and heavy hands it'd be a dangerous fight for Amir.

I kinda wish at the moment that scrumbag Valero was still alive. If he was Valero-Katsidis sure would sound like a mouth watering fight!

Oh, I don't doubt that for a moment. In fact, I thought Khan would have problems with Kotelnik, because IMHO he was one of the best four or so 140lb-ers between 2007-2009. I have posted plenty on your site and elsewhere defending Kotelnik, especially after his delightful beating of Gavin Rees.

Yet the vast majority of people who are now championing Maidana are the same people who called Kotelink shite before he lost to Khan. Suddenyl he is some monster puncher, because he beat Ortiz who was completely unexposed at that level due to, well, shit promoting.

    Go figure

I think, and the same can of course be said of me, that your blind desire to sodomize Warren has taken over your ability to debate rationally.

Let's say I am wrong about the Kindelan thing.

Lets say Khan comes home a hero.

What makes sense? To pick up where you left off? YES! So Warren does that.

Then he gets him on SKY. Khan made 750,000 in LOSING to Prescott.

I mean........the fact that it is not on SKY tonight has more to do with the split with Warren than with the failure of Khan to make money on PPV.

Maidana is a bit of an Arturo Gatti sort. He is not this pure killer people think he is. But Khan is afraid of him.

Ortiz is better then any fighter Gatti ever beat. I'm not saying Maidana is a prime Tyson, or even a prime Nigel Benn... I just think he's a class above Kat. I mean lets not forget Kat was owned by Juan Diaz. I'd bet my house on Maidana to crucify any version of Baby Cow.

Maidana throws single or double shots and relies solely on his power. Stick him in with a durable guy like Kotelink and that is all she wrote.

Katsidis throws BUNCHES of punches and has faster hands than most people realise. He is also a terrific body puncher.

I'd pick Katsidis over Maidana in a heart beat. Do you think that if Kat dropped Maidana like Ortiz did he'd sit back and let himself take a beating?

Michael is beatable, but only by the best. Maidana is decent but is completely overrated.

I'd pick Katsidis over Maidana as well. If Hatton does decide to come back and has anything left, a fight with the Aussie would be a good little scrap

So how come his last fight was on PPV?

Oh, and where did you get that Prescott number from? That's the biggest number I've ever heard for that fight.

AgREED. Kotelnik gave Witter all he could handle, yet Khan dealt with him easily.

AgREED. Khan has no chin, and anyone with single shot power like Maidana is a a terrifying prospect for Khan and the window licker.

You ARE aware that Maidana-Kotelnik was a very close fight, arent you?

Anybody who's hittable is asking for trouble with Maidana. Lets not let tonight fool us.. Kat still doesnt have the most sturdy of chins. I'd pick Maidana by KO over Kat in a war. Bigger puncher, stronger.

It seems you just hate Maidana cause your hero is scared shitless of him.

And if that were Maidana in with Mitchell tonight.... the paramedics would still be working on Kevin as we speak.

Hatton aint comin back. And if he did, both Katsidis and Maidana would fuck him up at this point.

I watched the Maidana-Kotelnik fight live and scored it a draw. It was a good, close bout.

But Kat can punch and Kotelnik can't. Kotelnik hit Maidana plenty and so did Ortiz. Kat would too and he would hit harder and often. Maidana has a chance because Kat would induce a brawl, but Maidana is ridiculoulsy overrated. He hits hard but he is no monster puncher. All he has really hit is Ortiz FFS.

People fell in the same trap with Prescott, because he smashed Khan, but he doesn't really hit that hard either and is very beatable.

And Khan is no hero of mine. I like the kid because I think he takes a lot of undeserved stick is all. Stop talking garbage...:shit:

Khan would beat Prescott just as impressively, if not more, than Mitchell in a rematch. That was Prescott's McCall-Lewis 1 moment, could happen to anybody

Here is Mitchell's post fight comments:

"I knew he was a big puncher, I knew he was heavy-handed," he told Sky Sports. "He lured me into an attack and bang, he caught me.

"I've been in with big punchers - Carl Johanneson (), Breidis Prescott...

The resulting press conference became a minor inquisition, with Jimmy Tibbs, Mitchell's trainer, unable to keep the lid on why he believed the defeat arrived. He said: "Preparation – if you want to be a world champion at any level you've got live a life. I told him weeks ago, you are not preparing like you did for Breidis Prescott [beaten by Mitchell last December].

To his credit, the 25-year-old was honest enough to admit: "About five weeks ago I wasn't preparing myself right. One minute I'm living at my mum's, the next at my flat – I was in shape, but he did the job."

This came as a revelation to Frank Warren, Mitchell's promoter, who reacted sharply. "It really pisses me off when I hear this," he said. "If he don't play the game, don't waste my time"

    Was at the Mitchell fight.
Very dissapointed he got beat so easily. Katsidis is a hard bastard and well done to him, he's a warrior.

    Who's next for Katsidis?
    What next for Mitchell?

Welcome back mate. Sorry it turned out so poorly for you.

How did the night go notwithstanding the main event? The stadium looked about half full on TV. Was that how it seemed at the ground too?

Katsidis goes back to elite level and maybe fights JMM. He loses that fight too. Terrible style matchup.

Mitchell can rebuild but he should leave Werren and get some proper fights under his belt. Being unbeaten doesn't matter if the blokes you are fighting are shite. He should get himself in amongst the contender level and accept he might lose a few but will improve for the experience. He looked lost in that 3rd round tonight, so he needs it.

Please dont overrate Kat's power. He couldnt even cleanly put away a shot Jesus Chavez... but somehow he KO's Maidana?

Kat would have no choice but to brawl. Its all he can do, and its all Maidana can do. I'm liking Maidana's bigger guns to win out. But fuck it! It DAMN SURE is a fight I'd pay to see!

Also, as much of a pussy as Victor Ortiz is... I think he'd stop Kat. If Kat couldnt handle Casamayor's left hands, I dont like his chances handling Ortiz's.

I think Johannson is a genuine puncher...it's about all the guy really has going for him, without it he wouldn't have got as high as british title level.

At world level, Johanneson was no puncher. Tonight nailed that one firmly on the head, because if he had of been, Mitchell would have been out.

People only started pouring in about 30-45 minutes before the Mitchell fight.

The stadium wasn't as packed as I expected it to be, but had a decent atmosphere anyhow -
Can't generate the same atmosphere for boxing when it's held outside compared to it being held inside.

Gavin was explosive and devastating - has potential to be a world champion (and a south paw - what I like)
DeGale ended his fight very well - also has world champion potential.

Looking forward to seeing these two fight better opponents.

Unsure about Saunders yet - Have to see more from him, but seems pretty good.

Danny Williams should retire - Over the hill now.
    Well done to Chisora.

This is exactly the case with Frunk Werren, it's as simple as that.

He obviously could handle his left hands. If not, he wouldn't have continued fighting and finished the fight.
