So who you got tonight? I got Paulie and Nate Campbell.

Ortiz has too many questions about his makeup after quitting vs. Maidana, so I can't pick him against someone like Campbell.

So I got Paulie and Nate.

PLEASE KEEP ALL INFO ON THE FIGHT ONCE IT STARTS TO THIS THREAD, SO AS TO NOT SPOIL THE OUTCOME FOR OTHERS WHO ARE WATCHING IT LATER.

Paulie's gonna get fucking sparked. Amir is the man.

I think Ortiz will get a stoppage midway through

Your being quite bold in predicting two upsets. I gotta go with the favorites though unfortuntely. Khan by decision, and Ortiz by stoppage.

Look, lets face it, Paulie has never pulled an upset in his life and Khan's people are not even remotely interested in putting him in against someone who can hurt him. People talk up the Cotto fight but Paulie was dropped and had his jaw broken. And lost. So I mean, the guy is one of the most underrated serial losers there is. He has lost every big fight he ever had. Khan is more predictable than an arranged marriage {:crafty:} and has a chin of finest Doulton but he is big and fast. Paulie is underpowered in possibly every area when we are speaking offense, except offensive speaking.

Its made for Khan to win, but I am hoping that Khan does what he does best, and fucks up the un-fuck-uppable.

He was the underdog in both Diaz fights.

Yeah, and he lost one, and the second one wasn't much of an upset, because he probably won the one he lost. So I have you either way.

Yeah I just think ortiz, after the Maidana debacle, just can't get my recommendation. I'd like to see the kid come back and have a good career, but that left some serious doubts about his mental makeup.

I think Campbell is being shorted due to him being beaten by Bradley. I think Bradley's one of the best in the division, so I don't lower my opinion of Campbell because of that.

Campbell's not on that elite level, in my opinion, but I think he's got enough for Ortiz.

And I seem to have more faith in Paulie than a lot of people do. lol

I typically don't like cocky arrogant pricks in boxing, especially if they don't have the power to back it up. That said, I just can't help but like Paulie. :dunno:

Your feelings on Ortiz are correct. He is mentally soft. But theres a big differance between a young, hungry, prime beast like Maidana, and old, shop worn Campbell who saw his best days at 130-135. Thats why I'm picking Ortiz.

And I'm a Paulie fan. Have been one since the Cotto fight, but I think his lack of power does him in tonight. Though I think he's quick and skilled enough to have his moments. Plus to Paulie's credit... I do think he's somewhat gotten inside Khan's head. But still I think Khan's talent will win out, but I sure hope I'm wrong.

Face it.... Maidana is young, hungry, in his prime, and is a big puncher. Campbell is old, quit in his last fight, and is a natural lightweight.

I don't disagree with that. What I disagree with is the term 'beast'.

Its a relative term. I didnt mean "beast" in the same sense that I would use for a prime Duran, Tszyu, or Pryor. I mean "beast" in the sense that he can bang, is strong, and has a general not give a fuck attitude in the ring. He fights like its either you, or him that goes. In that same sense you could call Kat a "beast" also, but Maidana still hits harder.

You think a prime Tszyu is beast?

You say Tszyu in the same sentence as Duran? What's going on here?

Tszyu was an average world champion, and the most overrated fighter of this generation. He wasn't a beast in the slightest.

Prime Tszyu got the shit beaten out of him by Cool Vince.

Yeah a prime Tszyu was a beast. And as you know, I'm a Tszyu detractor. Pryor and Duran would have killed him, but that still doesnt mean Tszyu wasnt a beast.

And he's not the most overrated fighter of this generation. That goes to either Kelly Pavlik, or Juan Diaz.

Sadly, Malignaggi represents the US worse than Khan does the UK. I don't to see Malignaggi on a boxing broadcast again except in a highlight reel KO by Khan.

Fair enough. The most overrated fighter of Tszyu's generation was Hamed.

These fags and their nose to nose staredowns.

Makes me wonder what would happen if someone tried to get nose close to Tyson, Bowe, Larry Holmes, Duran, or James Toney at a weigh in.

Yeah I guess by this generation, I more mean the generation of the last decade, not the current generation of fighters still in their prime etc.

So I mean the generation that included Hamed, Tito etc.

THE most overrated fighter of the generation is Tito, no doubt, being objective. He was a 3-1 favourite over Hopkins, that says enough right there about how overrated he was.

Then Hamed and Tszyu. Hamed was of course highly overrated, but only morons thought he was top 5 P4P and would beat Barrera.

Tszyu was ridiculously overrated. He got plastered by Cool Vince, wanted nothing to do with a rematch, got bullied around the ring and quit against Hatton, then retired. Didn't beat an elite fighter, and his best win was against Judah.

Sorry but there's nothing "beast" about Tszyu.

    lol.

I dunno man. That grin on Paulie's face just cracks me the fuck up. I can't help but root for the dude. He's a total goofy bastard, and he seems like he'd be fun as shit to just hang out with in New York.

That said, in most pictures he looks like those oompa loompa motherfuckers . lmao.

Well put it this way... a prime Tszyu destroys any of the current 140 crop.
