Don't under estimate Melendez. The dude is a gamer and as tough as they come.

I know you don't like his camp, but the guy can fight. I don't see a scenario in which Alvarez blows through him.

I would pick Eddie if the fight was tomorrow via UD but still think it would be a fun brawl.

it'd be great but it i wouldn't get too excited it's a long way from happening...still, i think it is important for promotions outside of Zuffa to work together, hopefully they sort something out that would be beneficial to both organisations...that's the key.

I love the fact Bellator's willing to do this. Adamiw is so right about the orgs outside of Zuffa need to work together. They can still be there own entity and do copromotions from time to time to give the fans great matchups. I tend to agree with Trplsec here TFK. I think Eddie wins, but don't think he'll blow through him by anymeans. This could be a FOTY candidate, neither guy is going to puss out and not engage. Both guys have similar strengths. If the action gets pushed it could be awesome. Aoki never wanted to engage on his feet. Eddie and Gilbert will have no problem engaging on the feet and expect both to be able to block each other's takedowns. I might sound like a homer here......but I LOVE THIS FIGHT!!!!:partie:

Haven't you picked against melendez everytime? Doesn't it start to get annoying being wrong all the time?

If you consider his fight against Aoki as 'everytime', then you're right. Because that's the only Melendez fight I remember making a prediction for.

It's more of me picking Alvarez to win every time.

The last thing MMA needs is sanctioning bodies.

no shit, the sanctioning bodies are one of the biggest things wrong with boxing. The only thing I would really like is a unified ranking system.

Call me crazy, but I think Melendez has a great shot at beating Alverez.

I think Melendez is extremely well rounded which makes him a tough fight for anyone.
