But khan has said that he wants to fight these guys to aim to be the best at 140, so what better way to do so than meet them in this tournament.
Khan could agree to doing the tournament, but get paid more to participate. And to further Neil's point, I think he should get paid more.
NATHAN of Consequence, but Considering his Level of Pop, Urango DID LAND More than Enough Shots to COMPROMISE Alexander, if he Truly had a Suspect Chin.... REED:mj:
urango landed a lot with the right hook. which leads me to believe alexanders defense aint as good as some here seem to think. maybe that can be attributed to him not having fought many southpaws, or maybe he just isnt that hard to hit if a sloth like urango can get in shots without much difficulty
So if Khan is offered more to enter this tournament would the other guys avoid it due to not getting paid the same?
From reading the interview with Kery Davis, sounds to me like HBO are still more interested in the business of creating stars, matching names rather than making the right fights http://www.sportinglife.com/boxing/...ME=boxing/10/05/17/BOXING_Khan_Nightlead.html
it will take a whole lot to knock tim bradley out. he got hit by devastating shots from a legitimate puncher and recovered nicely. the jury is out on alexander.
Alexander doesnt have to knock him out. He can outbox him. But of course its the punches you dont see that hurt you. Alexander doesnt hit as hard as Holt, but he'd be hitting Timmy from angles where he might not see the punches coming.
Bradley's next opponent has been confirmed as Luis Carlos Abregu, 29(23) - 0 - 0 What's your opinions on Abregu guys? I've just seen Abregu's fight with Irvine Garcia (can't get a clip for his most recent fight), but it doesn't matter as he won't cause Bradley any trouble. I expect a comforable win in this one via a mid rounds TKO victory. Alexander's next bout later this year should be against Zab Judah. Judah may not be at his best anymore, but still a good name to have under your belt - of course if he should beat Judah. A possible Bradley v Alexander bout is just waiting to happen later this year!
This is just it, John. They rely, and this is the fundament, on people not being able to remember what happened in past fights. There is no way Khan should ever be a star. No fighter who loses in that fashion, utterly out, head draped on bottom rope, should ever, ever, be a star without avenging that loss first.
Enjoyed that wrong-turn you took earlier into the mythical matchups forum with a Klitschko's thread,...:laughing::laughing::doh::doh::doh::doh: what the fuck were you thinkin' ???..
I agree on Bradley. I also consider him the #1 guy. But as of lately Alexander has been making him look bad by not accepting the challenge. I understand Bradley wants to get paid for the big fights. But I think in this division these guys have to fight each other and the winner might really get a decent payday. I read that Bradley is back on the July fight at 147. I don't see how that tune up fight will make a potential Alexander fight any bigger. It almost looks like he doesn't want it and wants to go a different direction.
Jeez, you love latching on to suckass fighters don't you? I tried to tell you forever that Cintron was garbage and you were the only one on this forum defending him right up until he took a swan dive out the fucking ring. Listen to me early on this one, Maidiana sucks ass too. Stop beating your drum on this guy now and save yourself the embarrasment later. I mean did you not see his last fight? If so, concentrate on how shite he looked in every rd rather than on the KO he managed. I'm not sure Maidiana is even in the top 10 let alone the top 5. I'd pick JMM over him too.
Myself and many others think Khan should fight Ortiz before taking on the likes of Maidana, Bradley or Alexander. Would be a good fight imo.
It appears that some people would rather masturbate over a black-and-white foto than face facts.........
:: Silly white-boy, I hope you learned your lesson, 1 sight of the contemporary world can cause extremist outrage, the heretics are hunted, it is sacreligious what you did,... as soon as I saw.. Mosley's trainer Richardson has made a statement saying that HE thinks Khan is a bigger puncher than Mayweather. http://www.boxingnews24.com/2010/05...er-puncher-than-mayweather-–-news/#more-30219
It all depends, but I'd say probably not. I'm guessing they'll still get far more to participate than they would going solo while others participated.
140 is interesting because there's several guys at the top on the same level but pretty interesting that neither would be competitive against the top at 147 (Mayweather, Pacquiao)
