This probably ends badly for Pavlik but where else can he realistically go? He has nothing at 160 except a rematch he can't win against Martinez and all the other top 168lb-ers are tied up with the Super Six.

I need to think about this one...Bute did well in his last two fights because both guys ran into shots...Pavlik is slow, but he's tall and long...could pose problems for Bute.

I don't see Bute giving Pavlik quite as much lateral movement as martinez.

I think it's a good scrap...better than expected. Plus, with Pavlik not worrying about boiling down the additional eight pounds...it might work to his benefit. Might be stronger.

 

Dunno....Bute's hardly Willie Pep in there himself, he comes in on those tracks just like Pavlik. They're both gonna be right there for each other, Kelly won't have to look to find him and his chin has looked study until now. I'd lean towards Pavlik.

 

Very winnable fight for Pavlik. I think he can stop Bute. Good fight for both. It sure beats anything else Pavlik was going to do, outside of a Martinez rematch.

 

Bute is the pick because we saw how easily he made Andrade look like a novice in their first fight prior to running out of gas, but I think Pavlik has a real chance to win.

well, they certainly aren't looking for a win. Bute is every bit as good a boxer as Martinez, and appears to punch harder too.

on the other hand, if there's an opponent out there, a win over whom would put Pavlik back on top, it's definitely Bute. he's HBO's flavor of the month.

I was looking at the smile on Shanes face, and I was thinking to myself, how would I describe that goofy, stupid, slobbering grin?

I decided that the following would be apt.....

Well, I'd actually prefer Millwall. A) Because they're shit and it would be nice to have a guaranteed 6 points next season, and B) because Danny Ward is way too good for League 1 and will be up for grabs if Swindon don't make it, he's the kind of player I'd love to have at Loftus Road, natural born goalscorer.
