My question was avoided. Why is Lennox 'great' but yet Tyson, Holyfield and Foreman are 'good'?

Ottke,.. who cares about him,.. his delightful promoter would have been guaranteed not to let him anywhere neeeeeaaaar...

Although I don't blame Roy for never fighting Calzaghe,.. it was never in Roy's plans to fight him in the first place,.. it's another example.. where, to my knowledge, there were no serious offers either way, it's hard to blame Calzaghe, it's not like he was presented with a single offer to turn down, as god of the universe, it was Roy's choice to pick and choose being in the position he was in..

His fights in that time were not PPV and he made 5-6 Million at that time. Michalczewskis highest purse was maybe 2-3 Million and in Germany RJJ wouldn't have had any extra effect, because Germans didn't know him and didn't really care who DM was fighting. In America a better name would have generated more money. The bigger money was therefore definitely in America.

Like I said, Brainiac, name the points rather than cop-out.

exactly. He had the chance to have a much more meaningful career, but chose not to.

Dariusz's fights were not ppv? Were they ever? Is this true?

Anything to back up these claims, particularly the $ claims?

Dariusz wasn't a 'bigger' name in the US. He was never more than niche fighter...known by big fans, but not by casual fans. He had one us tv appearance and had the best claim to the LH title. It's hard to name a comparable guy these days, but Chris John is probably the closest. John doesn't have the RJJ equivalent, though.
