Wow this will be an absolute barn burner. Lots of respect early and then it'll be time to unload.

Aussies are all wusses. Who scores even rounds in a eight round undercard fight, so they can avoid the draw, I deserved, I mean the fighters deserved.

Yeah awesome fight. Why did Briggs retire anyway? :shit:

I think Briggs will be really rusty. I haven't heard of him having any fights recently. This should be easy work for Green.

:crafty: I figured nobody would care about Briggs,.. that's why the link is a nice touch,.. all that needed to be done was to give her the twice over, but, not a word,..and eureka, it was absorbed as the fact that it may aswell be.

In all seriousness, it isn't as humourous as it sounds. Kangaroos have been known to kill humans, wild bores, domestic dogs, & their wild counter-part (dingoes), & other, large animals.

A lot of visitors to Australia seem unaware of the dangers in approaching wild roos, in particular, dominant males. The toe-claws of a large roo, surprisingly, can & have eviscerated people, resulting in fatalities. There was an incident recently in countryside New South Wales (Australia's premier state) where two dogs --- I forget the breed --- escaped their owners' control & attacked a male roo. The dogs were killed when the roo simply held & kicked the canines into submission. Terrible pictures. Collapsed skulls, & what-not. I believe the owner was injuried in coming to their defense, too.

They are actually no joke when attacking seriously. Of course, they are generally an extremely placid animal. Essentially, a giant rabbit, for the most part.

Yea Kangaroos are hard bastards indeed. You don't fuck with 'em.

When I was in Perth I saw a few roo's, not wild ones mind, fed them as well, but you can tell they were powerful beasts.

Green is less dangerous, but I still fancy him to be in too fine a touch for Briggs. I don't want to take away from the latter, but nothing in three years is a significant hurdle against anyone on the roll Green is --- doubly so, when your opponent is a puncher, because he can hurt you while you're still cold. Briggs will be up against it if the fight goes ahead, IMO. Good luck to him, & in fact both men, but I will be quite surprised if Green's recent momentum is halted.

Anyone aware if he is still angling for a fight with Hopkins at this stage?

When they sparred, both prime, it was tit for tat. First session Briggs tattooed Green, busting his nose. Next session Green chin-checked Briggs and they went body-only after that.

I've wanted this fight for quite some time.
It's a pity that it's coming after Briggs has been retired for 3yrs.

If you can keep the Roo on the outside with the jab you got em' licked. They don't have the reach and are only effective on the inside. They're also known to keep their chins way up in the air and don't move their heads. Of course you need to watch out for their illegal kicks, but yeah they can be beat.

What did you think of the press conference? Briggs seemed very relaxed and confident. Almost too relaxed.

In contrast Green was raving on like a clown...."if he throws a chair at me I'll throw a chair back...2 chairs......maybe a table." But he would not eyeball Briggs at any stage of his rant....kept looking down. Embarrassment at his ludicrous hype? Maybe.

But I wonder if day 1 of their infamous sparring session, when Briggs lit Green up, is playing on Green's mind?

You're underestimating an experienced Big Red.

Sure, an Eastern Grey has a weak outside game but the Big Red can take you out with one bunny-kick.

    Nah, not quite.

Briggs weighed in within the cruiserweight limit - however, apparently they agreed to fight at a catchweight of 84kg. Briggs decided not to make that catchweight and weighed on the cruiserweight limit. Smart move on his behalf.

And Green is pissed, because he made catchweight.
