Let's not forget, what we're arguing about here by the way,.. is 2 weeks a fair enough amount of cheat time for Pacman or not?.

If only Manny had a trial run, with the help of a psychiatrist to help unravel his bizarre, delusional beliefs and cure him in the off season,... it's worth tonnes of money to seek help,..he's come down to 14 days after some consultation with the gym pshychiatrist hidden amongst his conditioning team somewhere I guess,.
...now I figure it's just one baby step at a time..... can he crawl to 13?..

    A lot less, uh?

It did 1.4 millions, one of the highest grossing fights of all time and double as much as what Pacquiao did a couple of months before that.

    You think it's just 'consultation'?

Figured you'd be of the opinion he was currently testing out various new concoctions of PED's and masking agents, you know, giving himself a trial run before actually agreeing to anything.

Might've guinea pigged his way into a hospital stay...a convenient time to say Mayweather's upped his demands, no?

That would be just about the most disappointing possible outcome of all this, IMO.

If Manny does agree to random tests, I'm guessing that unless he gets tested 1, maybe 2 days prior to the fight, folks will still call him a drug cheat.
    That's the situation he's in.

He could do 2 things that have never been done before:
    • Beat PBF
    • Agree to the most stringent testing protocol in boxing history (Has any other fighter in history been blood tested 14 days prior for PEDS?)

And he will still be on drugs.
People have invested far too much ego & effort into calling him a cheat now.

Unfortunately, I agree. If Pac beat FM and we found out later he had an 18 day window like Shane did, everyone on here would say he took PEDs and got lucky not to get tested.

I will speak asthough he's as clean as a whistle in this post, now perhaps what Pacquiao groupies should be discussing, is,.. how can Manny overcome his bizarre 'Richard Trenton Chase' blood-drawing complex, knowing that unfortunately without that window closed, a drug riddled cheat could conveniently tilt the advantage to his favor via illegal means. It is for the benefit of a fairer cleaner sport to every clean fighter like Manny, in the biggest and most lucrative fight that can be made,..to seek some mental help with his beliefs about blood tests so that he may also join others willing to advocate stronger regulation against a form of corruption in a sport that is so dear to him?

Maybe he's found a good anesthesiologist...but then, that may also be why he doesn't want to do it any more than 14 days before a fight.

    That's right.
It is now, thanks to PBF alleging that Manny is on drugs, up to Manny to prove beyond anybodys doubt that he is clean.

Also, PBF's motives have become beyond reproach. He's trying to clean up boxing after all.
If Manny agrees to PBF's initial demands & PBF then moves the goal posts, then he's allowed to. PBF's cleaning up boxing, & Manny's a drug cheat.
He must be a drug cheat. He won't do what PBF demands he do. And if PBF changes those demands...Well' Manny will just have to meet those, otherwise he's a drug cheat, & the "innocent till proven guilty" defense has zero currency.

However, If you hold the rather problematic view of "guilty untill proven innocent"
and you hold the view that testing is inadequate to establish innocence, then every fighter in history is guilty of drug taking.

In fact, you could argue that Manny agreeing to the most stringent drug testing in history makes him the most innocent of drug-taking fighter in history.

You may argue that it doesn't matter & that 14 days is essentially just as useless to establish innnocence.
If that is the case then the view that PBF is boxing's savior becomes problematic :
-Why did PBF demand 14 days If PBF is cleaning up boxing?
It's hard to imagine boxing's saviour being willing to give Manny SOME illegal drug-induced advantage because he wanted the fight SOOO badly.

    So what would be adequate?
-Random drug testing potentially up until the fight! you all scream.

It's not enough that Manny agreed to the most stringent drug testing in the history.
It doesn't matter that the implication of "guilty until proven innocent" combined with "testing has never been adequate" is that every fighter in history is guilty of drug-taking.

The argument that Manny agreeing to the most stringent drug testing in the history of boxing makes him by implication in a sense the cleanest fighter ever is pure sophistry.

I wonder if Random drug testing potentially up until the fight would actually be seen as enough though.

Like I said, In reality there are now probably 2 things that Manny would have to do now to convince the masses he's clean, and they are two things that have not been done before in the history of boxing.

1-Get blood tested a day or 2 prior to the fight
    2-Beat PBF

As it stands, even if the 14 days is agreed to:
•If PBF doesn't pull another rabbit out of his hat, & the fight goes ahead & Manny wins he's on drugs.
•If the fight goes ahead & Manny loses he was either probably on drugs before but not now & that's why he lost,
    or...
•He was on drugs & lost anyway.

If the fight goes ahead in accordance with Random testing:
•If Manny doesn't get tested any closer to a few days out (18 days out was good enough for SSM), & he wins:
    - he took a calculated risk & took drugs closer to the fight. (Why the hell did they not test closer to the date?-corruption! you scream)

•If Manny doesn't get tested any closer to a few days out & he loses:
    - he took a calculated risk & took drugs closer to the fight & lost anyway, OR he didn't take drugs (for once & only because of the testing) & that's why he lost

    There we have it.
    Talk about a no-win situation.

Don't be so dramatic. It's been established by Pacquiaoheads that if Manny loses it's only because Mayweather is terribly bigger. Never mind that Pacquiao whips his ass with any other Welter.

Why should Floyd get more money? If Manny is taking Floyds tests to begin with, then Manny comes out with the 51-52, not Floyd.

There are rumors that Mayweather has given Pacquaio his demands such as:

    -All promotional materials being Mayweather-Pacquiao
    -Pacquaio entering the ring first
    -8oz gloves
    -MGM venue in Vegas
-Random testing all the way to fight day.
    -Dropping of defamation suit.
-60-40 money split in favor of Mayweather

Pacquaio should agree to first five terms and use that as leverage to change the last 2 Mayweather demands. There is no way Mayweather deserves a higher split, since they have EQUAL weight in tis matchup. Maybe they can agree to give the WINNER an incentive of a slight higher purse.

There is no way Pac is going to agree with random testing all the way to the fight.

They shouldn't have a problem agreeing to what was done in the Mosley fight. Why Pacquao should be any different, right?

On a side note, Pacquaio is being honored with the FIGHTER of the decade award today in New York.

Sounds as though PBF is desperate to make the fight happen.
If Manny doesn't agree to the terms he is clearly a drug-cheat.

It's true. Mayweather is bending backwards and forwards to make the fight easily signed. He hasn't moved the goalposts and is anxious to fight for the title of best FIGHTER pound for pound in the planet.

He knows there is no other FIGHTER that can provide the same kind of REVENEUE that Pacquaio can, so he is being very FLEXIBLE, giving every opportunity for Pacquaio not to duck Floyd once again.

Very one sided for May here but it is just a list of demands. Negotiations will even out most of this. In bold is the only part of all this that really matters.

There is one thing I am curious on though and it's a question for the guys that have made up their mind that Pac is juicing.

For the sake of argument accept that this happens:

    Pac agrees to random testing.
Fight is signed and goes ahead without any major changes in demands.
Pac beats May in a similar fashion that he has gone through Hatton, Cotto etc. Looks dominant in the performance.

After the fight, Pac tests clean but we then find out that the last time he was tested randomly was 18 days before the fight.

Would you accept that it was a clean fight or say Pac was juicing?

(This is not an attempt to start up the flame wars again. I personally was dismayed to hear that Mosely (and Floyd I assume) had such a long period between test and fight.)

    Good question
I'm very curious to hear the answer also.
BTW please don't answer by not answering at all ("it won't happen cause Manny won't agree", etc)

If Mayweather would be defeated by beatdown I would not accept it and will say Pac was juicing all along.

The same way I was outraged that the same thing happened in the Mosley fight...oh wait...

Not sure its a great question, unless you believed that it wasn't random at all...otherwise, even the hatrers would concede if he's clean 18 days before, its as valid as his being clean 2 hours before the fight, as he wouldn't have known when the sample would be taken

thing is, i think this point is probably lost on many of the haters. and that's why it's a good question - it forces them to examine the topic.

I would hope that there would be such a concession. However, it is interesting how evidence can be adjusted to suit.

For example prior to the Marquez fight, Manny was such a different fighter that the only reason that he could have been defeating Cotto & the like so decisively was that he was on PED's.

After the Marquez fight, it was obvious that he was the same fighter as always-he had just "hand-picked" all of those guys that everyone was so amazed that he was able to beat (so amazed that the only possible explanation at the time was PED's)

However, in order to retain the PED story & account for the similar performances,- Marquez must have also been on PED's and benefitted from them in a similar fashion as to render their latest fight very similar to the first 2.

funny everyone discussing who deserves more than 50%

meanwhile Floyd's last offer to Pacquiao was a guarantee $40 million but no ppv split. :notallthere:

that shit is crazy. I can only inmagine the money they would make just on the ppv split.
