What a Rabiz Vanes is turning into...I bet he wears more Cologne than Westphalia and has a Merc parked outside, not to mention a stunning collection of leather jackets. He is a Christmas tree unlike Arthur "No Bling Bling Me" Abraham.

Damn Cotto came in too heavy . He should have been no more than 150.

That may well happen. I got Cotto on a close, controversial verdict.

We'll have to see if Manny Steward can help him out any.

I wasn't previously but now I really am, actually. I think it could go either way, there's allot of intangibles to weigh up in this one. I think the fight will hinge on whether Cotto can hurt Foreman. If he can't I think he loses a fairly wide decision.

Any footage of Foreman getting tagged with a good shot?

I have searched and I haven't found anything. I dont know if he was ever dropped or stunned.

He got hurt bad against Andre Tsurkan and ran like hell for like 6 rounds to win a decision.

It's not a big fight overall, but this fight is pretty big news in NY. I'm surprised, because most fights are not water cooler talk, but everyone and their mother seems to be talking about this one.

I'm still going with Cotto guys. I'm having a hard time visualizing Foreman beating Cotto.

I only have interest in this because of the prediction league. I wish Cotto well but I can't see him winning.

I just get the feeling that when he's tagged with a good shot he will crumble. Cotto will tag him at some point (hopefully early) and I think Cotto will go to the Body early and take his movement away

I just checked two trading sites and they didn't have anything. I know it was filmed...just don't remember who did it.

Tsurkan landed an overhand right that had foremans legs going everywhere. He was hit with a left hook at one point that rattled Foreman too.

I was at that fight. It was pretty hotly anticipated for the people who knew both fighters. Foreman was booed badly for stinking out the joint.

I think it's all in the legs. Cotto's legs are gone, I think. And if you remember, Pacquiao's two knockdown punches came at odd angles...one of which was when they were practically shoulder to shoulder facing opposite directions. Foreman has great side to side movement.

I don't think Cotto will be able to keep up with that technique and get very frustrated once alot of short straight punches come raining in by the 8th round or so.

I'm sticking with my pick of Foreman TKO 11.

Its just a bad matchup for Cotto, and at a bad time. He's never been very quick on his feet coming forward, which means he's gonna have a hard time cutting off the ring. He has those lil aligator arms which means he'll be forced to reach in on the 5'11 Foreman, which will leave him open to be countered. That could be helped with timing, but Cotto's offensive reflexes havent been the same since the Marg fight. Now after the Pac beating, and at a higher weight class they'll be even more diminished. Also Cotto was at his best when he had a physical strength edge and could bully his opponents around. I see him having no such advantage on the bigger Foreman. Yuri might lack power, but I think he's pretty strong physically... he was able to man handle Santos on the inside.

Cotto is past his best, lacking in confidence, and has plenty of outside the ring distractions. Foreman is in his prime, unbeaten, and now at the peak of his confidence.

All in all... the tables are pretty stacked against lil Miguel tomorrow. I'm picking Foreman by UD, but a Yuri stoppage isnt very far fetched.

Cotto has had stamina problems in the past. Miguel is gonna have to win the first 6-7 rounds to win this fight. Yuri should be able to win the last 4-5 rounds. Luckily for Miguel Foreman doesn't hit hard only way i think he gets a KO/TKo is by cuts.

Thats ANOTHER thing I forgot. Cotto cuts easily nowadays. As sharp a puncher as Yuri is, he can definitely slice Cotto open with a counter.

Cotto was once an excellent stalker of "boxers". He cuts off the ring nicely, and has the ability to use his footwork to get in position to punch, drive in close by stepping forward, and somehow he punches very well from that position. It has helped him get close and land hard shots on fighters with good movement, particularly to the body. Also, his punches are reasonably fast and very fluid, so I would expect that against a sort of "running" boxer like Foreman that Cotto will be the aggressor and he will rather easily break down Yuri Foreman.

Without the power to throw Cotto out of his game plan, or hurt him, I don't know how Foreman can possibly win this fight. If not for the power in Manny's hands and Margarito's wraps, Cotto may well have won both those fights. It is when someone can tag him flush and hard that Cotto starts to fade, retreat, and ultimately tire out. And it can't just be a punch here or there, a la Zab Judah. It must be a sustained onslaught like Margarito or Pac.

So I see no possible way for Foreman to win the fight.. except (and you knew this was coming) if Miguel is truly shot. And that is not a trivial point. If his previous beatings have taken their toll, and he is easily hurt, easily cut, and a few steps off of his A-game, then it's a completely different story. In that case, Foreman pecks his way to a tiresome decision and people feel sorry for Cotto as he ineffectively presses. Worse, if Cotto is done for real, then the move up in weight just further hurts his chances to win as he apparently is giving away 7 extra pounds unnecessarily.

I don't know if Cotto can bounce back from a bad run, but if he does not decisively beat Foreman then I really think he ought to hang 'em up. Foreman is a nothing in the long run, a guy who never really beat anyone of note, and will never ascend to greatness because of his style and lack of power. To me, this is a test of how far Cotto has fallen and a gauge for his prospects to continue as a fighter. If Margarito got injured in 2008 and Foreman stepped in as a late replacement to fight Cotto, I would not give Foreman one chance in 100 to win. But as it stands now... we'll just have to see.
