    Exactly.

That was a fantastic fight! It was a decent fight until all the drama with the injury and the phantom towel and the people jumping in the ring, and Mercante looking like he wanted to slap a bitch. lol

That elevated it to another level.

I gotta find a copy of this fight with pre & post game and all the stuff about Foreman's faith and whatnot. I came into it a bit late and missed some of that.

I have long said that a mayweather jr. - cotto (pre-margarito) fight would have been an excellent matchup, and would have brought the best out of mayweather jr. i wouldnt mind seeing that fight, even today. Im sure cotto would jump at that chance for a payday, but does anyone really believe arum would make that match?

foreman is a stiff, and its a testament to arum as a promoter that he was able to legitimize him as an opponent for a big event.

Cotto is a very good fighter. He has always done the neat and tidy things very well, has an excellent body attack and I couldn't see Foreman beating him either. If Cotto had some more stamina and a slightly better chin, he could have been an even better fighter, but thems the breaks I suppose. I agree on the cheating bastard too- it is impossible for something like that beating and the subsequent revalations about his concrete wraps not to have an effect on a fighter.

BTW, you obviously haven't seen Katsidis-Earl. Catch round two on youtube and you'll see what I mean...

Maybe Victor Ortiz needs that more than Cintron.

Ortiz actually came to win against Maidana and that was a great fight for 5 rounds. Foreman didn't even try to win, just run run run.

I think most people probably agree that Cotto would have been a terrific fight for Floyd. That's exactly why it never happened. Young, in his prime, at floyd's weight? Not his MO.

Same promotional company as well for a good portion of their careers. Who do you think was the guy that didn't want to make the fight?

I didnt see much of a difference in Cotto tonight. I saw him forget the jab occassionally and try to rely on power again. But lets not forget. Wlad looked much different in his first fight with Steward than he does now. Gradual improvement is Manny's way. Manny needs to burn that jab into cotto's brain like it is with Wlad's. Cotto's ability to work off the jab is his biggest asset IMO.
