Which of the following fights do you make, assuming the costs I've listed. Use any criteria you want for making your selection, but let us know what it is. For example, one criteria could be that you want to see the best fights possible. Another might be that you want to make the most money. A third might be that you're interested in a particular fighter's long-term value. Note that money left over can be used for promotional purposes, additional fights, anything, but it has to be spent on boxing related endeavors. You can't make more than one fight with the same fighter (e.g. PBF can't be matched against Pacquiao and Martinez). PBF/Pacquiao $40MM Pavlik/Bute $12MM Montiel/Darchinyan $2MM PBF/Martinez $14MM V. Klitsckho/Haye $20MM Katsidis/Peterson $2MM V. Klitsckho/Povetkin $10MM JM Lopez/Gamboa $4MM Dawson/Cunningham $7MM W. Klitskcho/Povetkin $10MM Maidana/Bradley $4MM Khan/Bradley $2MM Caballero/JM Lopez $3MM Khan/Maidana $6MM Minto/Huck $650M Pacquiao/Cotto II $12MM Caballero/Gamboa $2MM Williams/Martinez II $8MM Bute/Andrade III $4MM Arreola/Peter $3MM
I'd definitely want Mayweather-Pacquiao as it's the biggest fight in the sport to be made, and the revenues from PPV/closed circuit sales will surely surpass $60 million. After that, I want to load the undercard with a lot of good fights, since boxing today has shitty undercards. Have a good, deep undercard a la Don King's PPV fights in the mid 1990s. With the other $20 million: Montiel-Darchinyan Lopez-Gamboa Khan-Bradley Williams-Martinez 2 Arreola-Peter
Main Event- Pac vs. Mayweather $40 MM Undercard- JM Lopez/Gamboa $4MM Khan/Maidana $6MM Arreola/Peter $3MM Montiel/Darchinyan $2MM Katsidis/Peterson $2MM ----------------------------- $57 Million
PBF/Pac--40 million Arreola/Peter 3 million Caballero/Gamboa $2MM Keep the rest because many other undercards have been much worse
If I had $60 million to play with, I'd bank it..and buy a big estate and have Bob Seger play a concert in my front yard.
