That sucks. He probably won't fight until next year. Now what do you do with Rashad? Make him sit, or put him against someone else with a chance he might lose?

Honestly, why not a Machida-Evans rematch. If Evans wins, then he cements his #1 challenger spot. If he loses, Machida gets the rubber match with Rua.

The knee situation is bad news. Rua obviously has some chronic issues with his knees. He may not have much time left in the sport.

Agreed. I'd like to see it.

With Anderson Silva Fighting Again Soon, this is the PERFECT Time for him to Launch a Full Out ASSAULT on 205...Position HIMSELF as the # 1 Guy in the Division, so that when Shogun Returns THAT'S the Fight to Make...

w/the Belt Being on Hold (Presuming Dana DOESN'T Go the Interim Title Route Again), EVERYBODY Will B Jockeying for Position...It's NOT like Rashad's Gonna B Able to just SIT on his Ranking....

    Does Evans-Machida Really WARRANT a RE???...That was a Pretty 1-Sided Fight, Fellas...

Ya but once a chin is cracked a fighter is never the same. Keep that in mind

I agree with you there. Unfortunately besides Machida and maybe Little Nog, there isn't really anyone for Rashad to fight in the interim that he hasn't already fought or who isn't shot. Unless he fights one of the young guns like Jones or Bader who aren't quite ready, I think they may be the only short term possibilities.

Rashad has improved and Machida just got KTFO. I can't help but think that Machida will be gunshy from now on. Rashad has been gunshy to a degree but he has the wrestling background to fall back on.

Machida is primarily a stand up striker and that doesn't bode well coming off of a KO loss.

Yep. Sure the first fight was one-sided, but now Evans is in the top contender spot ahead of the guy that put him to sleep.

Machida Very Well COULD B Gunshy after Losing the Title OR, he Could B QUITE Confident, Facing a Guy that he's ALREADY STRETCHED w/Ease...REED's Leaning Towards the LATTER...

Rashad's ALWAYS Been Relatively Gunshy from what REED has Seen....It Could B even WORSE if/when he RE's Machida...

I rather see a Rashad vs. Rampage rematch. I think Page was rusty and out of shape the first time.
