...where two fighters you were genuinely a fan of came together? How did you reconcile that? Did you stay neutral, or favour one over the other?

I can think of relatively few times when this has happened for me...

Diaz-Katsidis, 2008 (Being Australian --- of sorts --- I had to lend my heart to Katsidis)

Marquez-Diaz I, 2009 (Favoured Marquez. Obviously, about to happen again)

De La Hoya-Whitaker, 1997 (I stuck solid with the old favourite, Whitaker, for this one, though De La Hoya edged it on my card)

Holyfield-Foreman, 1991 (Had to support Foreman, as he's my all-time favourite Boxer, & had the underdog's charm)

Gonzalez-Carbajal I-III, 1993, 1994, 1994 (Really was a big follower of both men, but committed my heart to Gonzalez in all three meets)

I started a similar thread shorty before Mayweather/Mosley because I had never wanted either guy to lose any fight at any point leading up.

Had no idea until the bell rang... but once they started fighting, I was going for Floyd.

    1. REED Liked Jeff Chandler AND Richie Sandoval...This is Probably THE FIRST Fight REED EVER Watched where he was a FAN of Both Guys...

    2. Mosley vs. Vargas - HUGE Fan of Both Guys...REED Knew the LOSER Would Basically B on his Way to Retirement...The 1st Fight was Entertaining but the RE is Hard to REwatch...

    3. Floyd vs. Shane - REED Went in PICKING Floyd but ROOTING for Shane...& REED Nearly JIZZED On Himself when Mosley HURT him in Round 2...But that Made Floyd's RESPONSE to Being Hurt All the MORE Impressive...After Round 12, REED Applauded & BEGRUDGINGLY Gave Floyd his "Lb for Lb" Title Back...

    It's Funny How that Works...

U're 100% UNSURE of who U'll Root For UNTIL the Contest Begins...REED just Went Thru that w/the NBA Finals, having NO Vested Interest Either Way...Yet as Soon as the Game BEGAN, REED was Rooting for Boston...

Castillo/Corrales (went with Castillo and my choice was validated after Corrales spit his mouth-piece out)

Hagler/Duran (didn't watch it live so I knew who was going to win but found myself more impressed by what Duran was able to do than by Hagler)

Lewis/Tyson (was rooting for Lewis until he started holding all the time; then I started rooting for Tyson)

Morales/Barrera (was rooting for MAB in the first fight since he was the underdog, but wanted Morales to win both rematches for some reason)

Pacquiao/ODH (was still a fan of ODH's but was pretty starting to become disillusioned so I rooted for Pacquiao; fully expected ODH to win, though)

I more or less liked both Hopkins and Trinidad, but rooted for Hopkins. Same with Hopkins-DLH, and that time I rooted for DLH.

Mayweather-Pacquiao, but both guys have been annoying me. I don't know who I'll root for.
