1. Babalu KO 3 Lawlor - REED's NEVER Trusted Robbie Lawlor... 2. Zaromski Over Santos - NEVER Heard of Either... 3. Kennedy Over Prangley - Ditto, so Give REED the Guy w/the BETTER Record... 4. KJ Noons KO 2 Heun - No Rationale Other than REED Actually Spoke on the Phone w/KJ 1nce... Honestly, REED Feels like the HOUSEWIFE that Enters the NCAA Tourney Pool & WINS the Shit by Making her Picks Based on WHO has BETTER Uniforms or a CATCHY Team Mascot or Something...REED Should Probably Finish LAST in this Pool Based on Some of his NON-Posted Recent Pics... REED Probably Would've Taken Liddell OVER Franklin, REED Took Rampage OVER Rashad, REED Took Rashad OVER Machida, REED Probably Would've Taken Machida OVER Rua Both Times...Shit, REED Even Took Ben Saunders OVER Jon Fitch... REED::
Hey, at least you have the balls to post a pick, not just sitting on the sidelines heckling when someone is wrong. Seriously though. MMA is one of the hardest sports to wager successfully in due to the diversity in styles and the ability for one to be finished in many different ways at a moments notice.
Anyone see the Bully Beatdown episode with Conor Heun? How he did might influence my pick? Let me know.
Lawler---KO 2---- If Lawlor can keep his head in the game despite the beating that he took from Manhoef, there is little Babalu can do. Babalu may have a good ground game but he has never been dynamic with his take downs. Lawler keeps it standing and beats the piss out of Sobral. The one thing that does scare me is the catch weight of 195 pounds. Not sure why they made this matchup. Doesn't Strikeforce have another 185 pounder to pit against Lawler? Zaromskis---UD---- Zaromskis is just the better fighter. He looked horrible against Diaz, but so have alot of guys lately. Hard to believe that 2 years ago Santos was fighting at 205 pounds and now he's fighting at 170 for the first time. Hopefully he can take a few shots and make a fight of it. Kennedy--UD---- It's a good thing this isn't taking place under Afghan rules in a desert somewhere because Kennedy probably knows 1000 ways to kill a man with finger nail clippings. He is a genuine Army bad ass. However, in a cage under Strikeforce rules, Prangley is a tough matchup. Kennedy youth and enthusiasm wins this one, closely in the best fight of the night. Huen---SD--- This is a flyer simply because I can't stand KJ Noons. He wants to box. He wants to fight MMA. He wants to do needlepoint. WTF? Hard to believe it's been a year since Huen went toe-to-toe in the slugfest with Gurgel. I think Heun walks through Noons "I'm a boxer" standup and throws him down repeatedly for a close decision.
Got a PM from TLC over at Boxingfanatics. He asked me to post his picks, so here they are... Lawler Zaromskis Prangley Noons TFK
