    2003, Jones easily.

1996... tough to say. At the time it was the ultimate winner vs. the ultimate loser. Still, the size and skill of Golota can't be overlooked. Tough one.

Jones was a great fighter but he was no heavyweight. Lets be real here

I have to agree. Golota turns his lights out.

Not in 2003, though. That's an easy Jones win.

Perhaps so, but that is slanting the scenario pretty unevenly.

Anywhere close to his best --- anywhere --- I can't see Golota possibly losing.

Jones', "career" at Heavyweight makes Michael Spinks look like a legitimate big boy.

Spinks, though, I would favor vs. Golota. You wouldn't?

And I say 2003, because the thread starter asked about.

    Yes, I understand.

Spinks wouldn't survive the Golota who fought at his best. Spinks was a very poor imitation of a Heavyweight champion. His success is a blend of Holmes' heavy slide (& weight problems) & careful management, as his team manouevred him into the big payday.
