Two Light-Heavies who took on the big boys, & who came away with the championship against weakened iterations of all-time greats of the division, each on a close decision. At Light-Heavy, it's clear as day Spinks out-classes the green Moorer, & probably stops him before fight's end. I like Moorer to reverse that outcome at Heavyweight, though --- Spinks never grew comfortably into the Heavyweight division, & Moorer did, simply. Hmmm....very interesting matchup. The Holmes that Spinks beat Twice was still pretty good. Spinks also had enough power at Heavy to stop Giants like Cooney and Tangstad....although I'd admit that those giants were fairly useless. Still Spinks showed he still had a little pop. Moorer would be tricky for spinks...but the reverse is also true. I think Spinks beats him by a close decision.
Spinks should get the decision. Foreman still hit hard....but his intensity was way down as well as his speed. Spinks may get shaken up a couple times but ultimately he should outwork Foreman.
Yep. Spinks was far too fragile at heavy. Spinks would run around and maybe steal a few rounds, but as soon as Foreman catches him with something it's all over. Spinks was a great lightheavy, but a considerably lesser fighter at heavy.
