i think abraham vs. froch is a toss up. froch's not all that talented, but abraham looks a bit too small for a super middle and he got his ass kicked in his last fight.

i'm going w/ ward over dirrell and kessler over green.

Everyone understands that, however the difference here is that Taylor would have went out on his shield and at least put forth the effort. The Taylor, Green comparison is the perfect example of superior heart and determination trumping superior talent and skill.

 

Sorry but even this shot as fuck Taylor has at least as much talent and skill as green.

I sat a couple rows in front of this drunk guy who relentlessly heckled Antonio Tarver for about 10 minutes. It was fucked up, but still entertaining to the impatient fans like us waiting for the main event.

Tarver, along with Gus Johnson and Al Bernstein, was doing some of the pre-fight analysis away from the ring. The guy kept saying over and over again shit like:

"You suck Tarver"
"You're a fluke"
"When you were young you were mediocre at best, now you're old and you just suck".
"You're not half the fighter Roy Jones was"
"Bernard Hopkins beat the shit out of you"
"Yeah you knocked out Roy Jones. My grandmother can knock out Roy Jones"

I disagree. Taylor has never had the fluidity, snap, or speed that Green has, be it of hand or foot. That said JT will still have a better career than Green.

No offense to you or Neil but it's no surprise you liked that. IMO you two have very similar personalities.

 

yep, I used to like Green and was willing to give him a pass for his ''performance'' against Miranda, but tonight ''performance'' was shamefull. It's getting really hard to like him as he seems like the typical can opener.

 

Huh? Taylor has more talent and skill as well. What has Green ever proven? He has never beaten a top 20 fighter at any weight. He fought two top 20 guys in Ward and Miranda, and won maybe two rounds. Taylor has won more rounds in every single fight, whether it was Pavlik, Wright, Froch, Abraham or Hopkins.

 

Because by talent I mean Green is more flashy and fluid with his punches ala a Zab Judah or David Reid. That's talent, it doesn't make him the better fighter which is the point I'm trying to make. Green is all style and no substance, Taylor was more like all substance and little style.

 

Taylor aint THAT much substance. But he's certainly a better fighter then Green, and of course has a HELLUVA lot more heart.

 

For the first time I took your advice REED and began cheering for your boy and this is what he gives us? ::
