i disagree. jones jr was good about 10 years ago but what i heard from him a few weeks ago was turrible.

 

joony, he's not that short and he's plenty strong for the weight.

As to his last fight, he wasn't the one who left the ring unable to spell mom or find north with a compass. He was coming on and may not have been able to catch dirrell on the cards, but dirrell was probably not winning the last few rounds.

 

Tarver is decent, but Roy is a better commentator. I thought he was as good as ever on the last hbo show.

 

What a great non-effort by Green.:bears: Way to make an impression on the Super 6 tourney.

 

Between Vanes-Green being one of the most sloppy/boring fights in history, and Cotto-Foreman being a sham... we cant really hold it against Roy if he didnt bring his A game.

Tarver is very good, but as far as pointing out things during a fight... no commentator has ever been as good as Jones.

 

Caiz is a shit ref,.. he was so concerned about them 'talking', why doesn't he enforced the REAL fucking rules once in a while? :boohoo:

That's what I was thinking. Roy probably just had a bad night. Maybe he overtrained or had trouble making weight the night he gave that commentary, but to make one night swing a whole career is a bit much wouldn't you say Neil?

Anyway I agree Roy is the better commentator. Only thing Tarver is better at is speaking much more clearer and holding his smile the whole time.

 

In Other Words, Tarver is LESS "Country" than Roy Is....

Sadly, you're right, Green is the typical unambitious can opener who folds everytime his oppoenent doesn't bow down to him. Luckily ( for him not for us ) he still has the Kessler fight to change our perception, I doubt he does.

 

I doubt Ward stops anyone who's not a pure bum. Taylor would have had a legit chance vs Ward imo and had very little chance of getting stopped. I don't think he should have pulled out.

 

Kessler has a good chin, so there goes Green's punchers chance in that one.

Kess will give Green an ugly beating.

 

When will people finally realize that Jermain Taylor aint shit? Two narrow wins over a weight drained, old ass Hop sure did go along way into fooling people that JT was something special.

He woulda tried harder then Green, but Ward woulda lit Taylor's sloppy ass up. Much as I despise Ward, he's technically more skilled then Taylor ever was, has more stamina then Taylor ever had, and he has a waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy higher ring IQ then Taylor ever had.

 

Nobody is saying Taylor is better than Ward, they're saying Taylor is better than Green.

You know what? I think we're blowing this all out of proportion. Didn't somebody say Green wasn't looking at his shoes in this fight? Well that's it! Green obviously fights better when he looks at his shoes, he must didn't wear the right ones.

 

Green was clearly drained. That said, I don't think it would've made a damn difference if he hadn't been. The guy sucks.

 

I liked Reed's style heading up to this fight, Reed may keep Dallas finest.
