Chris "Hard Hittin'" Henry to join Fightbeat next week!

Naa....even if it did, I'd take a couple 100k for that beating, and then he'd go to jail for a decade or so.

 

I realize that stinger will deem this question unsuitable, but I'd legitimately be interested in hearing henry's side of the story regarding the situation that occurred with his legal troubles.

I miss Karls threats of violence against other posters. That used to be some funny shit. Karl if you're reading you have a very colorful way of telling how you're going to dismember your fellow "typing heros".

 

I was set up about 6 feet away from Riddick at the HOF last weekend during the collectors show.

Usually the boxers cycle in and out spending about 30 minutes or so signing autographs for the fans. Riddick sat there for about 6 hours signing autographs for free. Smile on his face and chatting with fans the whole time.

Seemed almost like a little kid.

 

Chris is one tough SOB. He obviously needs to defend better against the right hand but he's a really good volume fighter with a big heart otherwise. I'm glad he's joining FightBeat.

 

Bowe is grateful that people even remember him. He hasn't been relevant since 1995. His last meaningful bout being against Holyfield in the rubber match. He crapped away a lot of talent.
By the way, if he's signing autographs for free, how is he making a living? I don't know any celebs or stars who give away free autographs. Unless he figures nobody wants to buy his autograph?

 

I agree....... Yo Karl. I live in the "Golden State" 10k is not a big pay day for me on short notice to fight another LHW contender. I made 2x more to beat up Jeff Lacy. To be honest I dont need Chris I'm the IBF #5 WBA#10. I can fight you in Sacramento at the Holiday Inn and make 10k. In fact I'll fight for the IBF Title in 2011. To make it short and sweet "pay the price and you'll get the dame fight"; my man Larry Holmes said that! If you pay attention to detail you can see our friend Karl asking me to bring the promoter to the party with the big wallet. Why? If I play my position then I'm gone get mine plus the championship ring. If it don't make dollars it don't make sense. That's isReal!

Riddick is one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of interviewing.

Five years ago, when I was a young guy learning how to be a reporter, he did a spot on my radio show. For some reason, mid-interview, my mind went blank. I knew what I wanted to ask him five seconds earlier but I just lost it. Brain shut down.

I'll always remember, in the kindest tone, Riddick telling me "It's cool man, take your time".

The quote can't do the moment justice. It's just one of those things I'll always remember... I was a kid cutting my teeth in the business, I was flailing, and he was so fucking cool about it. After that, I immediately felt comfortable again and we finished the interview without a hitch.

I'll never forget those seconds.
