Possible. Jr. Welter was unquestionably Taylor's best weight, & though plenty will disagree with me, I think it was De La Hoya's, too. At Welter, where De La Hoya had his biggest moments, Taylor was a spent force, for the most part. I cannot see Taylor beating De La Hoya at Welter, & I think he gets stopped in the last round or two of a great clash at 140lbs. It's too bad De La Hoya didn't stick around at Jr. Welter a little longer. He was beastly at that weight.
Unfortuntely I'll take Oscar by stoppage at either weight. Taylor's handspeed would provide alot of problems for Oscar, but at the end of the day theres two big problems facing Taylor. He's too easy to hit, and doesnt have the power to deter Oscar. I give Mel a decent shot of pulling it out at 140, but at 147 DLH wins by KO for sure.
Taylor was unquestionably better at 140 than at 147lbs. It's just unfortunate for him that so, too, was De La Hoya.
