In all honesty, if I heard Fedor was fighting JDS, Carwin or Cain back in October 2009, it would have seemed ridiculous.
I wouldn't say ridiculous, but premature. But funny how the argument changed from Fedor ducking the best fighters for the past 6 years, to Fedor ducking the best fighters in the Fall of last year. Hey, I'll be the first to admit that from Zulu to Choi, Fedor fought garbage, but that's because he had already beaten the best fighters in Japan, and the best fighters in the UFC were Arlovski and Sylvia, who he beat a few years later, and who were still ranked top 10 by everybody when the fights happened. I was saying at the time that list was a joke. Everyone at that point already knew how good Cain was. And I had been broadcasting Rogers as a fraud since the Abongo fight. Roger is...a fraud. I said it prior to the Fedor fight, before te Overeem fight and now.

I don't care. With 10 fights and only one notable win, there is no way that Carwin was on par with or ready to fight Fedor. That is just moronic. All I can say is that coming off the win over Gonzaga, there weren't too many people that were proclaiming Carwin ready for Fedor. You're trying too hard to back up your constant crying about Fedor making a career out of ducking people. If the best you can come up with is Carwin, Brock, JDS and Cain, you better try harder.
The kid is busted. He said Fedor avoided the best fighters for 6 years yet when pushed the only names he can come up with are UFC fighters that have come into prominance over the last year and a half. The dude is nuts and ABSOLUTELY can't back up his claim.
The thing that he doesn't realize is that Fedor decimated all of the top fighters of his era. Fedor ruled the Pride HW division with an iron fist. As well as destroying many of the UFC champions of his era. Name some fighters that were as dominant in 2 different eras. To call him a Fraud for not fighting babies in the sport like Cain, Brock, and Carwin is just stupid. There are a multitude of reasons why those fights aren't happening anytime soon. But I guarantee you ONE thing. It is not because Fedor is afraid to fight them.
It's hard to fault Fedor for not fighting everyone, MMA isn't like boxing where promoters work together to make fights, the promotions work aginst eachother. Fedor can only fight the best available to him in the org he fights in at the time. No doubt he fought the best Pride had to offer, after the demise of pride he had some joke fights for sure, but he's been fighting better guys recently. Werdum is a very solid opponent and so were Sylvia and Arlovski when he fought them. Sylvia and AA were certainly on the decline but still solid wins. Rogers was a solid win at the time as well.
When I look at what Fedor has done and the guys that he HAS fought, I certainly doubt that fear of anyone has influenced any of his decisions. The guy stepped in the ring against prime versions of Cro Cop and Big Nog in the span of 8 months with the rematch against Kohsaka in between. Scared? Please...
The Funny thing is that Fedor has been more dominate than GSP and Silva combined. The man is the best Fighter in the world. Not just best heavyweight, best fighter. PERIOD. And if he loses, he loses. That doesnt take away from his accomplishments.

Forrest Griffen? Who is everyone? Rich Franklin? Griffen, Lebmem?, Who? And compares those names to Fedor's resume.
Silva and GSP have both cleaned their divisions. Fedor hasn't even come close. And yes, Griffin, Franklin, Marquardt, Maia are ALL better than everyone on Fraudors resume with the exception of Nog, who's on the same level as Hendo.
