this is MMA, not boxing. MMA you get beat all the time. There is video out there of Fedor's brother Alex subing him many times. Yes Fedor got beat in an MMA fight. But i would pick Fedor to beat Werdum 9 out of ten times. This loss, while suprising, isnt terribly shocking. People lose in MMA all the time. The fact that fedor hasnt lost in ten years is amazing.

The funny thing is that commentators, sports writers, other MMA fighters and fans almost all had Fedor on a completely different platform than GSP, Silva or anyone else. The dude literally had never been beaten in an MMA fight in over 30 bouts and over 10 years. That is what made him stand above the others. Trust me, Fedor losing last night is far more shocking than if it had been GSP or Silva.

Back in 2005 when AA and Sylvia were close to their peak and preparing to fight each other for the UFC belt, Fedor was ducking them both by fight Mirko Cro Cop. Yes, what a safe alternative for Fedor. Duck Tim Sylvia by fighting Cro Cop instead. On top of that, I can't believe Fedor had the balls to avoid Frank Mir who was busy almost dying in a motorcycle accident or getting knocked out by Cruz or Vera. For me, this is a fantastic conclusion to this thread.
I'm still waiting for those 2010 lists with Fedor at the top. And no, a random sherdogger doesn't count...
