Silva could CONCEIVABLY Outstrike Fedor, Mostly w/Punches (a JAB in Particular) & Use his SUPERIOR Mobility en Route to a Decision Win...

Especially if they Fought in an Octagon...

The talent in Pride clowned on what was in the UFC and Pride shows were much better.

I gotta disagree. No way Silva can keep fedor off of him. In fact he would have more success in a ring than the octogon to do that. But either way, its not happening. Fedor is too explosive and too strong for Silva to keep him off of him. dont get fooled with Silva's middleweight opposition as a sign of his abilities against top comp.

All I know, is at the time, the cream of the HW crop with Nog, Mirko and Fedor was considered to be in Pride.

In retrospect you can debate that all you want, but it doesn't change how it was.

Thats because the managers only cared about making the most exciting fights and not ones that necessarily made sense. And no, the talent didn't clown anything. I think the PRIDE failure in the UFC has shown that. Some of the great fighters have done well, like Shogun. But guys like Gomi and Herring suck now. Im not even going to count Wanderlei and Henderson because they are just washed up..

Chael Sonnen, Marquardt and Hendo, even Maia are all good fighters. Franklin is pretty good too.

He did get out the first time and stuck around and let it happen again. I thought he might get out when he laid back and twisted-which would have been a great escape-but when a triangle is that deep it is very, very rare to escape. Not sure why Fedor wasn't respectful of the move, especially since Werdum had already tried it and came very close.

Yup. Pride was ridiculously better than the UFC. Fuck i miss pride. Sakuraba, Silva, Gomi, Fedor, Cro-cop, Henderson, Nog, Rampage, Rua, yoshida

Just shows how stupid you are. The Pride fighters that did crappy in the UFC are OLD GUARD. They are shot stupid. Crocop, Herring, Wanderlei, Henderson, Nog, etc are older Pride fighters. Just as Couture, Liddell, Silvia, Pulver, Hughes, etc are UFC OLD Guard. You really talk out of your ass sometimes.

I hate to think all an MMA fan knows of Wandy, Cro Cop or Big Nog is how they've looked in their latest UFC stints.

Herring isn't even old. Neither is Gomi. And I already admitted those fighters are shot, so you are the stupid one. It was even in my post. :bangh:

Besides, PRIDE didn't have very many fighters that are still doing well today. With the exception of Shogun. Maybe Arona when he finally comes back. And of course RoidReem. Oh and Kawajiri.

Wow you really think that in fighting "age" is directly related to when you were born?? Jesus, you know nothing about the sport, apparently. I'm done talking to a wall.

Sure, I guess if fighters are shot or not is all up to the discretion of Bob and Weave....:atu:

lol Exactly. Fedor loses and he "got caught" and is still p4p #1. Fedor beats Rogers/Arlovski by one punch KO and they got "Zulu'd" and are nothing but bums.

    Funny how things work. :kidcool:

Sorry Z, too late. You're labeled bro.

Nah, I have never agreed with the idea that any punch or sub is lucky or a fluke. Whether it happens 10 seconds or 15 minutes into a fight, it happens because one guy had the skill to pull it off and the other guy didn't defend it.

Ahem, Minowaman is the current DREAM champion and just beat Sokajew. Don't dare compare him to the likes of Bob Sapp.

DREAM isn't a good org but they at the very least had Mousasi and still have Kawajiri.
