Alright, which one of you put Cyborg on there? Ridiculous.

That would be me. BJ is coming off a loss to Edgar and got handled by GSP not long ago. Shogun's loss to Griffin and his terrible outing against Coleman are still fresh in my mind. Machida is coming off a brutal KO. I don't see Fitch, Shields or Diaz as top 5 fighters.

That left me with Cyborg who has dominated everyone she's faced. You can bring up the quality of her competition, but it is what it is, she's been as dominant over the past few years as any fighter on this list.

Cyborg doesn't count. She's a woman, they are grouped seperately. I understand your viewpoint, but she is number 1 p4p for women.

Oh, I didn't realize you made the rules for my P4P list. Thanks for letting me know.

It's rather basic. Men and women can't fight each other so they are separate in grouping. For boxing and MMA. The barometers are completely different. Same reason you won't see an Anne Wolfe being on a p4p boxing list . It's not logical.

TFK, what does it say about the state of cage fighting that you have a woman in your top 5, pound for pound?

145 pounders also don't find 265 pounders, unless it's some hokey Japanese freak show. Obviously Fedor isn't gonna fight Jose Aldo, but they're both on the list.

That women's MMA is on the rise, and that the multitude of skills needed to be succesful at MMA makes it extremely hard for any one fighter to stay dominant for a long time.

It's part of the beauty of the sport.

Yeah, agreed. There are hardly any good male fighters.

A woman in the top 5.

You don't have to say anything. Rating a woman in your top 5, pound for pound, says it all for you.

A 145 can fight a 155 though. And Silva came up from 170 to fighting 205ers and maybe HW in the future. Santos won't be able to fight anyone period except other bad women.

Yeah Shogun would be an easy pick for 5 before he starts his run to the top. If Cyborg is rated in the top 5, you may as well rate her number 1 considering she's not going to lose, ever.

By the way, hats off to the MMA Expert that ranked Shields and Diaz. Shield is completely overlooked.

Santos is a good call. I didn't even consider her.

And there isn't a World Class 145 pounder that can beat Fedor in a fight, but yet Aldo is on the list.
