Mayorga has horrible accuracy and humorous defense, so yeah, one of his his washwoman haymakers gets countered with a punch he doesn't see and the lights go off.
Pacquiao by stoppage...from cuts or referee/corner stoppage. Pacquiao is not going to turn Mayorga lights out...:notallthere:
Mayorga before the Trinidad beatdown could take a lot of punishment. But his lack of accuracy would let pacquiao slip and counter all night long. He loses a decision. No way pacquiao KO's him like Trinidad did.
I don't think boxing fans understand how easily a person can be KO'd. You people have been listening to Larry Merchant too much.
tell that to Randy Cobb, Juan LaPorte, George Chuvalo, Gregorio Peralta, etc. etc. Pac wins this by continously landing punches that Mayorga can not see coming
First off, Mayorga isn't nearly as durable as those guys. And while I don't know much about the other guys, but Chuvalo is often cited with being the most durable fighters in boxing history and he was stopped a couple of times. Do you really think, as early a that fight was stopped, that Chuvalo wouldve stayed upright for how ever many rounds were left had there not been a referee to save his ass? I'll answer that for you, NO! He wouldve died, literally. At any rate, like I said Mayorga wasn't nearly as durable, HAS been shut off in his career, and even worse, is so wild he adds force to his opponents punch, and regularly puts himself in a position to meet a Pac-Harton-esque overhand left. You really think he'll take that on the chin and shrug it off? I'll answer again, NO!
I agree with your reasoning on why Pacquiao wins it. Mayorga just wouldn't be able to stay in-step with --- or stop --- the incoming.
where did I say he was as durable as them? I didnt "I don't know much about the other guys" ... EXACTLY, so shut the fuck up with your little lecture LaPorte never left his feet in his whole career watch Shavers against Tex Cobb and then tell me how "easy" it is to knock him out... Peralta was stopped once on a cut, other than that, never came close to being stopped as for Chuvalo, it is absolutley conceivable that he would have stayed on his feet and kept soaking up punishment... he would have lost, he would have been hurt, but absolutely floored and knocked out?? highly doubtful some guys are next to impossible to KO not saying Mayorga is one of them (though he did have a solid chin, especially for his style) but the idea of "I dont think you little people know how EASY it is for someone to get KOd blahblah" is beyond idiotic
great comeback you dont even know fuck-all about the guys I mentioned and yet you consider yourself the resident expert on the subject you're out of your depth
