You don't need to. I am a huge boxing fans, but Arum, King, GB , etc can only wish to put on a card like UFC 116.

It's the popularity and absolute entertainment of an event like this that brings the haters out of the woodwork.

 

There's no precedent for that happening in high profile boxing, what else is there to say?

Why would anyone stop that fight? Brock was moving, defending and even throwing from the bottom. He was in trouble and taking shots, but that's the way it goes.

I was kind of rooting for Carwin but I would have been pissed if they stopped that fight in the first.

 

These 'bums' were accomplished athletes long before stepping in an MMA cage.

 

Its a different business model Einstein. If boxers were willing to take 40 g's to fight boxing promoters would put on these type of events too. Unfortunately or fortunately if you're a top echelon boxer or care about them, they don't accept short money.

Based on what? You saw every aspect of MMA in almost every fight on the card. Fights got finished every which way. You had top level guys in a variety of disciplines.
