Just watched Donaire/Darchinyan again. Vic is an ass. And what a great fucking knock-out. People were talking the other day about a lack of one punch knock-outs - well check this one out. And Donaire's win was not luck by the way. He was setting Vic up and tagging him most of the fight and hurting him, and finally got the right angle, although it took him less than five rounds. Funny thing is, I don't think Vic has improved from this fight - if anything, he's gotten slower. Vic wins by intimidating his opponents. When he can't do that, and control the rhythm with his crab gyrations and his lunging left hands, he's open as hell for a counter punch. What fights have you rewatched recently?
Funny, I just rewatched that fight this morning. Donaire caught him with that left hook counter several times and shook him badly in the third round. When Vic got overly aggressive he ran into an even better counter was out. I recently rewatched McCallum-Watson, Nelson-Gomez and several Matthew Saad Muhammad fights.
watched Whitaker/Matweather... a wild fight almost completely dominated by a young Pete, other than a superb Uncle Rog right in the 9th round... this was the fight where Whitaker assisted Mayweather with his falling trunks by pulling them down further watched Brown/Blocker as well... Maurice was doing real well until he got caught... a crying Brown hugging him at the end was very emotional
I recently re-watched Castro-Jackson 1, what a comeback that was, and watched the rematch for the first time. Castro got a hometown decision in that one. Yeah Jackson went down twice (the 2nd time on a slip), he spent the rest of the fight tooling Castro.
I also rewatched Aaron Davis-Mark Breland. Awesome fight. With one guy from Brooklyn and the other from the Bronx, I wonder how it ended up in Reno. <object width="500" height="405"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9rnKYK7Kc_Q&hl=en_US&fs=1?border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9rnKYK7Kc_Q&hl=en_US&fs=1?border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="405"></embed></object>
Who the fuck ever told Mark Breland that he could fight? The guy looked like a bundle of loose ropes tied together with some even looser ropes. He only won that Gold cos the Commies stayed home.
Pro-Russian commie, anti Hugo Chavez commie, pro-isreal, yet pro-whitey,... an oddity where it lies? ... I'm still scratchin' the dirt like a chicken that's for sure,.. :crafty: where abouts are ya?
My war is against Yankee ignorance, KauKi. I use all methods at my disposal. Mark Breland would last all of 20 seconds against Kostya Tszyu.
Oh, you mean because of how he's mismanaged his career following his win over Vic? The guy is super young - maybe his mgmt is waiting for Pacquiao to retire? Donaire also has a KO win over Raul Martinez - very impressive. The guy can definitely fight. He made Vic look like an amateur. And, given what Vic's done since his loss to Donaire, including a loss to King Kong, I don't blame Donaire for not giving him a rematch.
I don't understand why you have to hand-feed me this info with 3 word responses. If you don't want to explain what he meant, then don't. But don't string me along with cryptic fragments that don't tell me shit. Ok. So he's a Conte (Balco) whore. I'm not sure what the fuck that means. Does it mean he takes PEDs? Does it mean he testified on behalf of Balco? Should anyone who hasn't discussed this issue at length with Irish know WTF he is talking about? Anyways, rewatch Donaire/Vic.
Yeah. So what? What does it have to do with Donaire/Darchinyan? I couldn't care less what fighters are taking PEDs and which ones aren't.
Because you should know who Conte is if you spend hours talking about boxing on the internet every day.
I'm as down with that as the ^same chicken I mentioned sliding a grub down the throat with a firm slimey whip of the tail as it dissapears down the pipe, but when you assess the situation, :crafty: american ignorance verses pro-isreali, anti-muslim, anti-communism, she's rather more consistant with the views of the american south, rather than a proper euro-skin :crafty: ,.. genetics of southern european basques, with the views of the north american south..:crafty:
Watched Brown-Trice 1 and Tua - Ahunanya last night. I am only watching one of these for more than the first time, guess which.
obviously, Breland lacked primarily the strength and durability to make it as a pro in longer pro fights, at least in comparison to the hype and the expectations but only a buffoon wouldn't recognize Breland's legacy in the amateur ranks... he was incredibly accomplished
