It's an obvious double standard that is no secret to anyone. It's just a difference in perceptions. If a minority promotes their ethnicity, color, whatever, like Cain does with his Brown Pride Tattoo, he's looked at as just being proud of who he is and where he's from. If a white person does the same, they're looked at as a white supremecist and a racist. Right or wrong, that's just how it goes. It is what it is. And for the record, I haven't seen or heard anything from Cain to lead me to believe he is a racist. You can be 'for' your kind without being 'against' other kinds. TFK
People say it's not racist, I'd have no issue with it if it said "Mexican Pride" but Brown Pride is not any different than White Pride. Brown is not a race, it's a skin color. It's absolutely no different than if someone had WHITE PRIDE tattoed accroess their chest. in short, yeah it's racist.
I dont have an issue with someone white being proud. I use to have this friend Josh in my school. We were really close in Jr. High. Then one day he shaved his head and hanging out with a different crowed. I new most of the kids in his group well and actually spoke to them and listened. They werent promoting racism. They were promoting being white. They had no problem with Puerto Ricans or Blacks or anything. In fact they were friends. But they wanted to be proud of their race just like we were proud of ours. After that, i never had an issue. Of course if you go spouting racist shit and yelling white pride, you are racist. But if you are just proud to be white, whats wrong with that?

It's not that I really care or think Cain is a racist, it's just the fact that if it were a white guy with white pride accross his chest EVERYONE would be screaming racist. You know this REED.
thanks but I know what it means. I'm wondering how this double standard can exist, basically calling REED out on saying it's not racist, but it would be if it were a white guy. I seriously find it hard to believe that REED wouldn't find it racist if it were a white dude. I guess only white people are capable of being racist?

His tattoo isn't racist and the only white people who wouldn't do so out of fear of being called a racist are cowardly. Otherwise nothing stopping a white man or a black man for getting a ridiculous tattoo like that.

I don't have a racist bone in my body so don't take offense to anything I have posted. I'm not taking this too seriously, it's just a discussion to me. I just think it's funny, white people don't seem to be that quick to get upset about this kind of thing, but if a white guy with a white pride tattoo was fighting for the UFC title that shit would be front page news and people would be crying racism.
Doubtful, considering there was legitimate racism in the form of a UFC fighter fighting under a Neo-Nazi banner. It was publicized but most people didn't even know or care. White people love to cry about double standards though, it is almost annoying as minorities complaining that the white man is keeping them down. Maybe even more annoying because the 2nd one may have some validity to it.
The UFC wasn't even aware of what it was when that happend, it was brought to their attention after the fact and was banned. It was all over MMA sites, the dude wasn't fighting for a title though or it would have been a bigger issue. You trying to get personal with that last post?
