Devon Alexander vs Tim Bradley is one of the three best fights to be made right now, according to Max Kellerman. That's good. I suppose that fight will be available on HBO.

The roadblock is: Devon is promoted by Don King, and he severed HBO's relationship long ago.

Great fight, and I go with Devon here.

yeah because sprinters don't do weight training...

oh and steroids DO increase punching power, they build muscles, increase strength and therefore of course the punching power. They won't make Mike Tyson out of Sven Ottke of course and i don't believe someone with a low KO ratio will be a puncher after he uses it, but saying they don't effect it at all is as stupid as saying this guy only relies on his boxing skills therefore steroids are useless.

It's pretty interesting how little knowledge of the variety of anabolic steroids actually exists in boxing forums, but oh well not unexpected regarding the statements of how to acquire a Bradleyesque physique...

Ok i'm out doing a bunch of reps and sprinting... it's easy i don't get why most people are fat fucks...

decent win for bradley but he wasnt very impressive. it seemed the awkwardness and size of Abregu were problems and caused him to be less fluid than usual.

They don't. The idea that muscle = punching power is not something I'd expect to see floated on a Boxing forum. We all should know better than that.

And yet you'd rather believe that high school athletes are using steroids just because they are chiseled. Someone obviously has an agenda, perhaps bitter because he has shit genetics or doesn't work hard enough. Oh and the two I know aren't even close to the best physical specimens out of my area. They are just the most chiseled in my area. Last year, the strongest 17 year old in the country came from school, I sat at his lunch table. Cry steroids all you want but they even blood tested him out of season and he never failed.

Oh and as for Bradley-esque physiques, which again are quite common. There's a FB runningback, named Andre Williams. Going to BC next year. We used to joke that he was my friend x2 because of how massive he is. This guy got up to 6'1-6'2 215lbs at 18. This guy has an NFL body, plus 4'4 40. I guess they are all using steroids, right? :notallthere:

Gasp! How could a man possibly be so fit!

Sure, his abs are pretty incredible, but his pecs are near nothing, and his biceps are nothing special at all. People were acting like this guy was a bona-fide Bowflex model(who are obviously using steroids)

Nevermind the elite high school athletes, I see physiques like that walking down the street.

Are there any fucking PUNCHERS left at 140??

The crowd wants to see KO's....how Bradley gets away with these decisions is beyond me.

To answer your first question.... Maidana.

And as for the second part... Bradley is a very good fighter, but his lack of power will hold him back from ever being GREAT. And his lack of power is the reason why he wouldnt be able to beat Floyd or Manny.

Maybe he beats Alexander, but I see a real skill set in Devon which I think is superior to Timmy's. Plus Dev actually has some pop.

And the idea that steroids = muscles and nothing more is just as ridiculous.

I realized long ago that no one on this site knows anything about steroids/PEDS. Yes that includes me.

If you thought I was having a dig at you, I wasn't. What I was trying to convey is that I figure most Boxing fans will know power isn't increased by steroid use, as opposed to non-fans on the street, who would probably believe that.

Right. So you agree that steroids can help, for example, the explosiveness of an athlete, yes?

Good. We're on the same page, then.

To back up that steroids don't help punching power, one would need a list of every fighter who's on the stuff. The fact is, you and I have no idea what some of these guys are taking, and in what areas they are enhanced.

    Muscles don't = homeruns, either.

Your first statement on the whole steroids punching power thing could lead one to believe YOU would...

Well of course just with the KO-ratio there's a shitload of other ingredients but it certainly helps when all other factor would stay the same...

There is no known steroid which contributes to punching power. That's a fact of medicine, not anyone's opinion. If there was, this sport would be absolutely saturated with abuse. Absolutely everyone would be on it.

If one does exist, it's a remarkably well-kept secret.
