That clip ends too soon, i was looking forward to 'WORD!'.

...on what was said. I'm not entirely disagreeing with what they say, but there is another reason why Floyd isn't putting pen to paper, and that's the Roger Mayweather situation. Whether or not that's a big enough reason or not, is up for debate, but it is something that has to be acknowledged that a fighter may not want to enter the ring for the biggest fight of their career, without their trainer in the corner.

My thing is this, if that is indeed the reason...then why is Floyd not coming out and saying so!?

Yes, his nickname is a tribute to the Pink Floyd song of the same name.

anyone still backing Floyd is either a wigger/asb sympathizer or a jackass. This is old news.

If Floyd can get 75-80% of the purse fighting somebody like Berto, Alvarez or Bradley and makes 1.5m sales, he has a share of 1.125 units of sales. If he splits 50/50 with Manny and they sell 2.1 he gets 1.05 units. And the situation is roughly comparable for Manny right now, though slightly less so.

The financial incentive for Floyd to sign this is very weak. IF Floyd is reluctant to sign right now I think that's the reason.

Floyd knows Pac is a threat, I agree he is simply preserving his undefeated record. I'm far from a PBF fan but I believe he can beat Pacman, but obviously PBF dosent believe in himself enough to take the risk. What a coward! :sly:

I think its great. I hope every single media outlet calls Floyd out and shames him into making this fight.

I have to admit I 100% believed that Floyd always was going to make this fight happen, and also that the drug test thing was a legitimate gripe, it turns out I have been proven wrong. Boxing needs this fight, its once in a generation type of circumstance to get the two best fighters in the world in the ring and Floyd is ruining it because he is scared. Call him names, CALL HIM NAMES!

    Seriously?

I think it's hard to watch that show...not sure anything's been quite as bad as that show Kellerman hosted, but ESPN's influx of Newspaper columnists has not been a good development for that network.

It got even worse when Kornheiser and Wilbon were allowed to spread to their game coverage.

As much as I wish Mayweather would step up and make the fight and as much as I despise him, I wouldn't ever go so far as to call the man a coward. Nobody who steps into the ring should ever get that label.

i didn't say what i thought of the reason one way or another. I was just saying I think that's Floyd & GB's rationale for not biting Pac & Arum's hand off. There's a fair chance this won't happen until both mens individual PPv sales decline enough to have this become a financial necessity/big pay off for both. Until then the ambivalence will reflect the lack of real reward involved and BS reasons like drug tests, Roger's legal problems blah blah will pop up as public excuses.

I dont think for a second Floyd is scared of fighting Pac, never have. He just doesn't give a fuck about the sport or what he achieves in it beyond the financial rewards.

He's not afraid of Pacquaio, he is not afraid of fighting Pacquaio, he is not afraid of being beaten by Pacquaio, but he is utterly and tee-totally terrified of losing to anyone

REED was 1 of the 1st Posters to Comment on the Pac-Floyd "Midnight" Thread...Pac agREED to a FAIR Compromise, so Floyd's REFUSAL to Sign Speaks for Itself...Sadly, REED is Now of the Opinion that Pac-Floyd WILL NEVER Happen & it's Floyd's Fault...

What PISSES REED Off More is the Whole "I'm Not Even Thinking about Boxing Right Now", RESPONSE:shit:...It's a DISMISSIVE Wave of the Hand, Directed @ the Very Same Fans & Media that Floyd will Expect to PURCHASE & COVER his Next Non-Pacquiao Bout...That's a Very UNCOOL Answer to the ONE Question Boxing Fans Pose to Floyd...

w/Out Boxing, NOBODY Would Know who Floyd Mayweather is...When he's Not Boxing, NOBODY Cares about Floyd Mayweather's Exploits...

If a Fighter is LUCKY, he'll B in a Position to Contribute to the GREATER GOOD of the Sport of Boxing @ Some Point...& 9 Times Out of 10, that Opportunity Comes in the Form of a MEGA-Fight...One that Captures the Imagination of the MAINSTREAM Public...Floyd-Pac Accomplishes that w/Very Little Hype Required...

Floyd is Basically Saying he's Got BETTER Things to Do than Display his God Given Talent for the LARGEST Purse of his Career, Against a Legacy Defining Opponent, in Quite Possibly THE BIGGEST Fight in Boxing History...

& MotherFUCK Floyd for that, if the Pac Fight NEVER Happens....

Yes, that's a very valid excuse, Hut.:Giggle: You're basically contradicting yourself there. First you say Floyd's not scared of Pacquaio, then you say Floyd only gives a sh*t about the money! Uhm....Hello...........Pacquaio....lots and lots of $$$$$$$$$$ for Floyd.........do I need to expand any further here?

Didn't think you had it in you Reed.

Now....if Floyd is culpable, what about Pacquaio??
